Well, as the title says it - The ending which most caught you by surprise or most shocked or touched you or make you cried or whatever. Which ending (from which movie) is the most memorable and thus your favorite?
If any of you have seen that movie, the ending is probably the best part.
It's your typical happy Disney Princess movie ending, where the Princess gets married to the man of her dreams. But, this movie actually shows a little bit of their lives after their marriage. Usually in Disney Movies it ends right when they are married. It also pays a tribute to Ray, a character who died in the movie and shows the dreams of some of the other characters being fulfilled. Plus, it's played to an upbeat Jazz Song.
Personally, I enjoy the ending from Seven Samurai when the farmers of the village were singing as they worked, quickly forgetting about the seven samurai who fought for (and four of which ended up dying) them. As this was happening, Kambei, Katsushiro, and Shichiroji were mourning for their fallen comrades with Kambei and Shichiroji making the following statement....
"Again we are defeated."
"The farmers have won, not us."
The 7 P1 Ending. Well, it well-executed indeed and perhaps among the best, if not, the best ending of HP series' movies but I think the impact of the moment is lessened since there have been few build-up on Tom Riddle's past and no build-up on Dumbledore's past.

Never seen it but really seemed an awesome cult-movie, so fab. choice.

Well, as for me my favorite is bit tough to decide.
I think
- Inception (well, the ending is off-beat but so prefect still to the whole movie)
- 300 (the roar of last battle is simply chilling)
- Forrest Gump (I love the simplicity of en-globing the whole movie in that one scene and thought going overboard or off-theme, it still makes us cry)
They are for diverse reasons obviously.
Also, although, it's not really the ending scene, I love the final moments when Titanic is sinking. The way, the dream-like structure is doomed as each seconds passed is perfectly depicted. I particularly loved the part of the violinists scene as they keep playing till the death and how those fateful to sink with the ship, die.
Ending: Percy Jackson and the Lightning Thief.
When Sally left Gabe in the apartment to clean his junk and he said" I need a beer". When he found a letter of Percy to never open the fridge , he cursed him them broke the lock, found Medusa's head then got petrified. It was pretty cool.
Most epic ending was HP7.2 when I saw Malfoy's son's hairstyle was the same as his.
Actually, it was pretty huge when it came out in 1954, even making it in AFI's Top 100 (as well as several other "official" rankings. The movie was one the first noticable (most give it the honor of being the first, but I'm not sure) movies where the aim was to gather several people together to take on an enemy force.
It's in black and white and about 3 or so hours long, so not many today will watch it or have the patience for it, but it's my favorite movie simply because the story behind it. There's emotion and enough realism added into it to suspend disbelief.
If you want some choices on alternatives of the movie, the Western "Magnificent Seven" is an American remake (also a very good movie) and Samurai 7 - an anime version that's LOOSELY based on the movie. I haven't seen Samurai 7, so I'm not sure how accurate it is, but it changes the setting enough to set it apart from the movie.
I strongly suggest this movie for ANYONE that claims themselves to be a film geek or to anyone that loves movies in general.
Well, and at the end you see the token spinning and at the end it looks like it was falling but you couldn't really see. So it's an open ending for me. |:
