You're right but the only reason why Itachi was able to hurt Nagato was because Nagato was too busy trying to kill Naruto and Bee. As you said If Itachi didn't have to save Naruto and Bee then Nagato would have never gotten hurt. Plus did you see the fight between the kyuubi and the last Pain. The kyubi's attacks and the kyyubi itself were very fast but it still got caught in Chibaku tensei.

I think you are continuously forgetting about Susanoo.....Makes the user pretty much invincible.No matter what pain throws at him, its not good.

i pretty much thought pain(nagato)s weakness was genjutsu, i am suprised itachi didnt use tsukuyomi

Susano'o hasn't been tested to the extreme yet. plus Itachi has the shied, Sasuke doesn't. We'v seen susano'o get crushed a cuple of times by the raikage.

The fourth hokage wasn't sealed away by the third. Only the first and the second was sealed away by the third.

what sucks is that Nagato never got to teach Naruto his attacks...i was sure with the chakra levels they both had and a suspected similar family ancestory (through the uzumaki clan) that Naruto would gain the darn eyes and learn how to do the attacks from Nagato...It would have been even better because he would have had even more chakra to use if he ever got the 9-tails to give to his will

I think you forgot chibaku tensei, which just pick up Naruto, Bee plus Itachi, who was using Susanno. If it wasn't for all three of their attacks conbime Itachi would have been history.
