Sanji is a tall, slim man with long legs. The chef has a light complexion. He has blond hair, brushed to one side of his face, which conceals his left eye. Sanji has distinctive eyebrows. They curl up into a spiral, but at different ends. This means Sanji has an asymmetrical face. This is something he is sensitive about, and if someone jibes him for it he will become a little depressed. Sanji's face is egg shaped, and he has a small goatee.
Sanji is always well dressed, typically wearing a black, double-breasted suit and a tie and shirt of varying colours. He wears re-enforced dress shoes, which are incredibly durable. Sanji has been known to change his outfit according to the weather, but even then his fashion choice is still sensible.

Personality:
To most people,Sanji can pretty much be described in one word. This word may differ from person to person, but it is almost always one word. For his admirers, it would be something along the lines of 'Cool' and 'Badass'. To ladies, however, there is always one definitive word that stands out. Pervert. And it's true. Sanji always falls hopelessly in love with any reasonably attractive woman he sees, and is always quick to instigate flirting and amorous behaviour. This seems to annoy others, especially since Sanji's behaviour results in his own nose-bleeds.
However, this side of Sanji isn't all bad. The chef is incredibly chivalrous, prepared to risk life and limb to ensure the well-being of a lady. To this end, Sanji has vowed never to harm a woman or insult a woman, or let them be harmed or insulted, while he is still able to stand. Even if this proves to be problematic, Sanji never goes against his credo.
Being a chef, Sanji holds food in very high regards. Since food is a vital part of sustaining life, Sanji believes that a chef should prepare it as if it were sacred. To this end, he quickly becomes irate if he sees anyone treating food with less respect than his own, from incorrectly preparing it to wasting some. Because of this, it falls to Sanji to discipline Luffy about stealing food from the fridge. This behaviour is because of the time the chef spent on the rock with Zeff. Prior to this Sanji was careless with food, often wasting vast amounts. Because of his starvation Sanji has come to hold food on a higher level of importance than most.
He is a chain-smoker, never being seen without a cigarette. This is a habit Sanji never seems willing to kick, because it makes him look manly. The chef feels that he is a man among men, and could be considered a little vain if it results in him looking more manly than someone else.

Background Info.
History:
Sanji was born and raised in the Land of Iron, where both his parents lived, until he was about the age of seven. Once at that age, he began to realize that his parents had no remaining feelings for each other except hate.
Sanji's father caught his wife cheating on him one fateful night. His father (being a Taijutsu Master of the village, and a well known drunk) savagely beat his wife after catching them in their room, until the other man tried to interfere. Sanji's father used his taijutsu skills to kill the other man, and his blood washed to floors of their house. Sanji's mother, acting on impulse and adrenaline, took Sanji and ran out the door and to the local authorities. They arrived moments later to seize Sanji's father, and send him to prison, where he would be tried for his crimes. He soon felt the old hand of death from the gallows.
Sanji's mother (who was a Supreme Chef) packed everything they had left that wasn't destroyed by Sanji's father, and left for Konoha.
Sanji lived in his new home peacefully, but the memories of the night haunted him for his entire childhood, and eventually scarred him, leaving him sad throughout his training at the Konoha ninja academy.
After graduating the academy, and leaving to go train with his new team, Sanji was secretly anxious to become a great, and powerful ninja.
After his Genin training, Sanji entered the chuunin exams to take one step further to becoming a great ninja. After his best effort to pass, he shamefully lost the tournament in the finale. Defeated, and hopeless, Sanji threw away his headband, and left the village for good, never to return again. He swore that he didn't need a title in order to become great, so he would learn other abilities on his own.
He traveled back to the land of iron to the spot where his old home once stood. It was burned to the ground by a freak lightning accident. The rubble was still there, so he assumed the basement would still be intact. A small door lay on the ground where the living room once was, and he pulled it open, revealing a dark room. He lit a lantern and walked down the stairway, the room was pretty big, enough to store another home. Sanji turned a corner and saw them there, his father's taijutsu scrolls. He took the scrolls perched on a shelf in front of some cabinet, then later he set off to escape the place where old memories remained.
The world was his now, anywhere he lay was his home, he didn't need to worry about such things as home. His sights were set on becoming a great ninja/taijutsu master.
He came into contact with two other shinobi in the past. The three of them became friends, and Sanji promised that he'd help them achieve their task: To find their lost sister. Upon having just started, the youngest was taken by two high ranked ninja in order of some...thing
Ever since then, Sanji's been torn inside, and wishes to become stronger so that he can protect his friends, and crush his enemies. The memories he shared with the two of them haunts him constantly, and it is his driving force behind his determination, a subconscious effort to help prevent from allowing others to take his friends away, or to prevent those past events from happening again.
Sanji traveled the land for a couple of years, migrating to every corner of the world when he felt his spirit tug on him to do something. He's been everywhere from Sunagakure, to Konohagakure, and even Kirigakure, Iwagakure, and Kumogakure. He spent many days in the grasslands of Kusagakure, though he's never had the privilege to visit the once proud Otogakure, now reduced to ruins. Sanji also used this time to train, and meditate to try to find what his heart wanted most. He succeeded with reaching a state of "enlightenment" that allowed him to utilize his own soul as a weapon, a rare technique that only he and one other person know. Once he grew tired of roaming, he felt his soul beaconing him to return to Konoha in order to live there, and when he arrived, Sanji was greeted by his old friend, Zanji the Ice Sage. Later, Sanji was promoted to the ranks of Jounin when he was accepted into the village, and thus allowed him to perform missions on a high scale, as well as teach other shinobi. After that, Sanji trained even more, and his level of power grew so much that he was asked to travel in order to train others.
