A fire Technique that can go Short - Long range and an equal or lower Wind Technique that goes Short Range only should decrease the range to Short - Mid, making it a stronger jutsu, but the range will be lowered.

Long Range + Long Range = Long Range
Long Range + Mid Range = Long Range
Long Range + Short Range = Mid Range
Mid Range + Mid Range = Mid Range
Mid Range + Short Range = Mid Range
Short Range + Short Range = Short Range

Care to explain why a Wind technique, of a higher rank then the fire technique used is a bad thing?

Maybe because a higher ranked wind tech will overpower the lower rank fire tech as too much air is send into the fire.

Exactly. And it would cancel each other out. Keep that in mind for when you have a decent Fire combo coming towards you. Just go One Wind Jutsu rank higher and it will cancel it out.

-I start off by molding Ka chakra in my lungs.I keep doing this until I have a decent amount gathered.As soon as I think I have enough chakra I start forcing it to my mouth.While I make the chakra go up I keep adding more and more chakra.When it reaches my mouth I rapidly start releasing it.A stream of fire goes through my mouth and over the ground continuing towards a tree trunk.The tree trunk catches fire and burns to ash.-

-I begin by molding my Ka chakra.Instead of molding it in my lungs I mold it in my hands.I add more and more chakra to my hands while keeping it stable.I then stretch both my arms out with my palms open.I add more and more chakra to it to make the shots powerful enough.I then release them in the form of small fireball.I shoot out 5 on the dummy nearby.They explode upon impact damaging the dummy and knocking him down.-

They explode on your hands making little burn marks. Concentrate more on the shape and combustion of the technique

Aaargh damn it..-I look at the burns on my hands.-

-I begin by molding Ka chakra in my palms.I keep molding a big amount until I think I have enough chakra to launch 4 medium sized fireballs from my hand.After I am done with molding the chakra I start releasing it from my palms as fireballs.I try to focus to keep them in shape.I then thrust my hand forward sending a very small fireball forward.I keep doing this until I can make the fireballs bigger and more stable.After some time the fireballs are in the size of a soccer ball and explode upon impact.I launch 4 fireballs at a dummy,two from each hand, and direct them at the dummy.Upon impact the fireballs explode and burn the dummy knocking him back.-

Ok I will.

-I begin by molding Ka chakra in my lungs.I close my eyes and focus as hard as I can to gather a big amount of Ka chakra.I keep molding enough chakra to create a much bigger fireball.I keep focusing on the warmth and feel of fire while molding the chakra in my lungs.When I finish molding enough chakra I continue on to start creating the actual fireball.I start forcing the chakra up to my mouth while keeping a constant flow of chakra going to it.Once I forced all the accumulated chakra to my mouth I continue to spew the fireball.I lean back my hand while inhaling,and as I exhale I lean forward and spew out a fireball.The fireball has both greater power and size but the same distance as before.I direct the fireball at a dummy in short range.Upon impact the fireball explodes and makes the dummy engulf in flames leaving only ash behind.-

-I begin by molding Ka chakra in my throat.I add more and more chakra to the accumulation of Ka chakra to make the jutsu as big as possible.I start forcing the chakra to my mouth while keeping a constant flow of chakra going to the already gathered chakra.I then send the chakra out through my mouth in the form of a huge fireball.As it leaves my mouth I add the last bit of chakra to it making it get the size of a meteor.I direct it at a dummy in mid range.Upon impact it continues to push away the dummy and as it reached long range it explodes completely destroying the dummy.-

-I begin by molding my Ka chakra in my lungs.I mold a big enough amount to create three small fireballs.I keep molding more and more chakra.As soon as I think I have enough chakra gathered I force the chakra to my mouth.While doing this I keep a constant flow of chakra going to the already gathered chakra.I then staart spewing the chakra in the form of fireballs.I shoot out one fireball after another,shooting out a total of three.As I spew them out I compress some chakra inside them and while in mid air the fireballs expand fusing into one big fireball.I direct them at a dummy in short range.Upon impact they explode destroying the dummy.-
