Itachi's genjutsu isn't the ultimate genjutsu it can be broken free from. Why does everyone over kill Itachi's powers?

I see a mutual death between the two in the next manga (or whenever this is resloved). I don't think the Allied shinobi shouldn't get anymore powerhouses. I would think it would be hilarious to see Itachi had broken free and could've relayed valuable intel on Madara to the allied but a few minutes after he's free he's dead again (and so is Nagato). I feel Nagato however is a superior shinobi to Itachi and is stronger in his dojutsu all around though.

If you think about it, it's a ninjutsu master vs a genjutsu master. It doesn't matter what style only how much of a master that person is in their craft and I think Nagato is a better master then Itachi.
Okay I don't see why everyone is underestimating Itachi. He has more abilities than genjutsu I mean HE KILLED THE ENTIRE UCHIHA CLAN WHEN HE WAS A KID. No matter who you are that takes skill. Itachi's also smart as hell (putting Shisuis' eye in Naruto and making Sasuke think he was fighting while he was giving him his power). My point is if the battle was Sasuke vs. Nagato (Sasuke having the powers he had when he fought Danzo) everyone would be like "Sasuke hands down", but it's his older brother who's waay better than him. Itachi would kick Nagato's ass.!!

Welcome to the base first off
Second I've never seen a thread like Sasuke vs. Nagato that has ever said Sasuke would beat Nagato hands down (only from die hard fans and you can tell who they are by the little things...like those statements for one).
Third, since Itachi and Nagato are clearly supreme shinobi and are deadly close in ability it's very difficult to say simply based on ability alone. When your dealing with certain fans of Itachi and Nagato they'll defend their fav character because there is a lot to go on with their abilities and it can go either way. I used to lean more towards Nagato (until recently) but now I'm putting both on equal terms (for the most) because their master of their dojutsu is damn near equal. I would still give out to Nagato being a superior shinobi.
Ig I can accept that, but honestly i would lean more towards Itachi, but only because:
1. We haven't seen all of his abilities.
2. We don't know how Nagato will do against genjutsu.
3. Nagato is kinda yelling out his attacks lol :shrug:
