It's the same as with Sasuke. When Madara's Sharingan was shown to Sasuke, Amaterasu activated. When Itachi MS was shown to Naruto...something activated.

i dont think kabuto has complete control of them. because why would he allow them to give away their positions and weaknesses? i think itachi and nagato still have a free mind kabuto is just controlling their body

I think that is to do with the Soul and Mind. I think it would be impossible to completely control someone.

He didnt do it. Kabuto did. He knew that if his MS would activate while facing Naruto. The Crow whould come.

I dont think itachi has controll of the power he gave naruto, think it automatically activates asoon as naruto's eyes come in contact with a Ms

Like when sasuke used amaterasu on madara asoon as he his eyes met his sharingan

kabuto can only control the body he can control completely only using a lot of chakra and to do so on itaci and nagato its imposible even for kabuto he would need all his chakra (sorry for the bad english)

actually if you read it another way maybe he was saying lets see what happens when i activate MS, and then in response the crow comes. i believe this to be the case so the crow is similar to what he did to sasuke. i think the crow comes at the sight of MS

also Kini Gu, i dont believe kabuto knows that itachi gave naruto the crow. how would he know?

I think it's more of Itachi's MS seeing Naruto.
