Does naruto have what it takes to be hokage?

Thats what I was wondering. He obiously has the strenght for it, but I dont think he will be for the job after all. The hokage is rarely in action, and spends almost all of his time in his desk organizing the village, and planing things out, which I dont see naruto capable of.. That job, like in another thread states, would be perfect for a guy like shikamaru.. I see naruto being a sensei like kakashi and having his three shinobi squad

this is true but there was a war on at the time and the village was probably low on man power.

after all the kage are fighting right now during this war so... its kinda circumstantial, fi there were a 5th war naruto would likely fight

to answer your question no i dont think he does not yet, but he's getting there soon i think, i also think he's using sasuke to test himself so he can know for himself weather he has what it takes to be hokage

yeah and then that one time that someone strong attacks the village (has happened to every hokage) the village is completely destroyed because shikamaru isnt strong enough to stop them. it would have to be naruto that protects the village every time and having someone other than hokage protecting the village would only lessen respect for the hokage and question his capability. tsunade anyone?

Tsunade did save the village against Pein.. Naruto is better as a Shinobi then, not a Hokage who sits on his desk all day, lol

There it is lol ur right, Naruto is destined to be Hokage becuz Kishi wouldn't have him yelling "I'm going to be the Hokage " all the time if in the end he wasn't going to be. P.S Tsunade sucks!!!!

who cares about the village being destroyed it matters more that the lives are saved. to be honest tsunade is probably a better hokage than naruto cause of her healing abilities.

Agreed...but, you never know...Naruto has always been able to come from behind and surprise everyone...he might just mature a little and become intelligent enough to become hokage.

i agree with that, tsunade is a better fit for hokage. all i'm saying is that the elders questioned tsunade's abilities and blamed her for the destruction of the village even though she saved a lot of lives. the same thing will happen if shikamaru is hokage but it will be even worse because he cant heal and save lives.
