1) Betraying your clan so the village that has treated them as second class citizens (Senju were always #1) so Konoha would be safe from outsiders?

2) Telling your little brother to feed off hatred just so he could kill you and return to Konoha a hero (He underestimated Madara, Itachi only told 1/2 the truth!)?

3) Postponing a Shinobi War, just because you were too weak-minded to die with your clan?

Itachi Uchiha might be beloved and have a large fanbase, but everything Sasuke has gone through, Itachi has created for his own personal gain!

1.)he seen what war does...hes a pacifist...thats just him so he made a judgement call

2.)too make him stronger...id say its worked out in that aspect...his plan prob wasnt the way he wanted bc of the disease tho so he had to make a quick decision...u forget that he thought of both sides as he gave naruto a gift to counter sasuke

This is a pointless thread imo, this is Kishi point of view.. he is the creator of the story, he has his own way to do as he likes.. not you.

And why do you even complain about it now? is it because that you're so Sasuke fanboy? Itachi did that to stop a certain "War".. he knew though he couldn't kill every single one on Konoha to stop it, not even by having Madara by his side would do that.. so he turned to kill his clansmen instead to stop it..

Also remember, Uchiha were the ones responsible for causing this war, they were the ones who going to attack Konoha first, and not Konoha attacking the Uchiha..

So, theoretically.. killing all the Uchiha is more reasoning than just killing everyone in Konoha to stop it.

1) Uchiha only were "second class citizen" because of the attack of the kyuubi, wich was Madara's fault, so Madara made Uchiha outsiders and no Konoha

2) He told Sasuke to gain MS so when Sasuke would kill Itachi, he would have the chance of gaining EMS, to confront Madara and protect Konoha, and of course Itachi lied, but Madara lied too when telling the "story" to Sasuke

3) That wasn't the first time someone did it, and he had to do it, because then Konoha would be in a weak state, and neither Uchiha or Konohagakure would survive a Shinobi War

Itachi did what he had, to He had it alot worse than sasuke did and yet he still loved the leaf and dident blame them (only the elders)

If he stuck by his clan it would of only weakend the leaf and make it vulnerable to attack by other nations or madara and alot more people would of died.

Instead of thousands of innocent People dying he killed his family and friends so others could live happy and safe and joined a criminal organization to keep an eye on Madara to make sure he dident attack the leaf.

Everything itachi done was not for personal gain,

While sasuke instead of honoring his brothers sacrifice acted like a little bitch and only does things for his own personal gain (like revenge) and for more power,
