Well like it or not, companies reveal games and stuff about a year or so before their release because developing a game can take as long as a few years so they can make the game better and also fix some big glitches.some games may take a few months, others,a few years.it all depends and and stuff.BTW Demos are NOT the actual full version game.Demos are just samples of what the game creators want to give you a taste of.While the demo
May seem pretty ready, the actual full version game is still under development and may be months or even a year or two from completion.

I know it kinda stinks but you can't rush a good game,am I right?
i hope he is right

Uhm I'm haven't been sure at first whether your post was sarcastic or not as the stuff in the quotation seemes pretty obvious to me ._.

Well I remember waiting over 2 years for "The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess" after a demo was released so yeah... Games need their time to "grow" great.

Of course games aren't going to be finished when a demo is released. It's usually the basis for beta testers to check to see if there's any glitches, and to just see whether the game needs any improvements in any areas. Also the games taking a hell of a long time to come out after a demo is released doesn't matter, as it gives more time for improvements for more demos and more pleasing the fans, if you will. :)

Duke Nukem Forever is a perfect example of this. I'm not sure if they released demos over the years of development, but they weren't happy with it, since new and improved technologies were coming out as the game was progressing. The developers took the initiative of thinking the fans wouldn't like these outdated attributes and changed it until they felt like they were content with the game, being on top of the line, and that method was a success as it pleased fans with lots of Duke-ness.
