OK if Kishi was going to kill Kakashi then he would have done it during the Pein invasion arc same goes for Tsunade. Tsunade will live long enough to pass the title of Hokage to Naruto. & I have always believed she would replace the village elders.

& Killing Kakashi wouldn't mean a whole lot now considering 1 of Naruto's mentors has already died Jiraiya. & Now Naruto has surpassed Kakashi & when a mentor dies it's usually before there student has surpassed them.

I think if any big time Konoha Shinobi dies it will be one of the younger generation. Killing off one of the younger Shinobi I think would be more of impact to the characters.

But to be honest I don't believe anyone very major from Konoha will die if anyone.

Kakashi is definitely not weaker than Sakura, and as for Naruto and Sasuke, they both are pretty overpowered in their own way, but so is Kakashi, he can always use Kamui on them if needed. Same for Sasuke using Amaterasu and Naruto using Nine-Tails.

Kakashi is not weak it's one of the top ninja of Konoha still

He basically served his purpose of teaching Team 7, but now that they are all stronger than him, what's the point of keeping him around? It would be better for Plot if Sasuke killed him (He'd be a Rogue Ninja after this) and Naruto watches Kakashi's death. Then Naruto realized Team 7 can never be reunited, which was his goal and will finally have the intent to kill Sasuke and stop being emo.

i don't think kahashi would die, when the time comes I think Gai and Kahashi will over come a enemy together. They are good friends, Gai wouldn't stand by and let kahashi die without helping him. Remember they are in the same formation now.

I think Tsuande might die sooner than most of think. But not before revealing soemthing about the uzumaki or senju clan. Something for naruto to go back to his roots.

The best answer so far. I really don't believe anyone major is going to die either, and the idea of Tsunade replacing the village elders make more since then any of these death theories. Sakura is not stronger than Kakashi, so him "serving his purpose" is just stupid. If anyone dies it will be Madara, sheesh

I doubt Kakashi will die.

He's already died, for one. There would be absolutely no point in killing him off again.

Two, already said, but Sakura still has yet to surpass him... Or anyone else for that matter.

Three, Jiraiya's died already. That was Naruto's biggest teacher for the most part, other than Killer Bee and the toads. Iruka hasn't really made Naruto stronger. He trained him in the basics, and though Naruto and Iruka are like brothers (apparently), he hasn't given Naruto the big leap of improvement like Jiraiya did in the time skip with "that jutsu" or Kakashi with Rasenshuriken, or the toads with Sage Mode, or Killer Bee with the Kyuubi. If you kill off Kakashi as Naruto's main teacher, the mushy ending we expect Naruto to have will be tarnished. You already know, as good as this manga is, it's going for a "happily ever after" ending.
