I have been having some real bad experience with my windows 7 especially the BSOD?!?!!
and its driving me crazy.......
so i thought about switching to ubuntu 2.0........
just wanted to know
are all the freewares and softwares supported by windows are supported by ubuntu or not? .......

is it a type of operating system?? cause i have never heared of anything other than mac os and windows os.. how about vista?? m having windows 7 and its cool..

Nope - not all Freeware thats supported on Windows can be run on Ubuntu. But most of them have a Linux version that should work.

Here are 2 sites i recommend you check out:

This 1st one shows you a list of Freeware deemed by the writer as "Best to use" with Linux -

This one shows you what to do to have your Ubuntu work alongside Windows -

PS. Windows 7 BSOD error is quite common on certain cracked versions of the OS. Either get yourself a propper crack or a original version of the OS. I have come across this issue many a time...

Ubuntu sucks...it's more like the mac and the latest version of mozilla fire fox and its boored...and also many softwares doesn't support for ubuntu...

Its not like im refering the dude to another Naruto site now am i. Im helping the dude out with a PC prob. Im pretty sure that posting a link to help a member out with his PC Probs is allowed...

Have a look at Debian, instead of Ubuntu.
