Considering the fact that sasuke was owned at the summit shortly before the fight against danzo and had used most of his chakra, but still only just beat him, i'd say it would still be close but jiraiya would come out on top

it wouldnt be easy, but Jiraya would Win!, if Jiraya could kill three Pains, he could kill ten Weak Danzous who are killed by shurikens!

Danzou was not weak, someone tell me how would Jiraiya get around Shisuis sharingan if it was used right away, Jiraiya was awful with genjutsu and this is one of the best we know of.
We already know 3rd was stronger he was made the hokage not Danzo.
danzo is extremely powerful if he battled Sasuke and almost won and sasuke was (according to manga anyway) stronger than Naruto at that time and naruto wasnt that far behind Pain so according to that Danzo should be near Pain somwhere (i know that it depends on mary more things like who vs who it is but still this still gives us the basic picture)
but still i think jiraiya would win, why? well because MS Sasuke was at least in my opinion a lot weaker than Pain and Naruto Sage Mode but i think Danzo would have done an extremely good job
just for record i think itachi would have defeated jiraiya like pain did

jiraiya can pull this easily with sage mode.... why?? if you notice danzo attacks on sasuke's susanoo were from behind and with a kunai...... jiraiya wouldn't even need to move since his skin is hard as a rock (as seen when naruto broke pain's weapon only with his palm while pain was attackin) so i doubt danzo's kunai will hurt jiraiya....... danzo wind jutsu can easily be beaten by sage's speed because if sasuke could evade it obviously an saged jiraiya can (which is faster) danzo summon can be held back by jiraiyas three frogs easily...... THE ONLY REAL PROBLEM HERE WOULD BE DANZO'S EXPLOTION ATTACK.........
as for normal jiraiya........ i think jiraiya can sit down and sip some tea while all jiraiyas frogs do the work...... cuz honestly I dont see danzo getting through jiraiya's personal frog, gamabunta, gamahiro, gamaken, or even the stomach jutsu.......just in this danzo will have to use alot of times izanagi =/ =/ =/

Sorry but Danzo would win this.
All he has to do is use Shisuis eye to control Jiraiya and make him kill himself and Ma and Pa.
With Izanagi Danzo can make all his jutsu sucessfully hit and dodge others enemies.
The only reason Sasuke lived is because of his ultimate defense Susanoo.
Jiraiya has no ultimate defense.

Good Thread, but let me answer with a question.
Could Danzo beat Three Paths of Pain?
Because Jiraya in sage mode could fight three paths of Pain and win with some struggle. (Talking about how he didn't get that injured when he fought with Animal, Preta and Human Paths.)

I believe Danzo could take out three paths of Pain since they have no ultimate defense and wont even know he's still alive after he uses Izanagi.

I think jiraiya would win easily, especially if he uses sage mode. I f he does, IMO shisuis eye will be useless since he cant use the jutsu for long and ma, pa and jiraiya.

ouch, jiraya fans are too much, almost worse than kakashi fans, obviously danzo wins, honestly, sasuke would lose if danzo would use shisui´s eye + izanagi gives you 10 additionaly lives, meaning that danzo WOULD beat jiraya even with SM

Thank you these Jiraita fans are too much Danzo would use Shisui's eye to control his mind and make him kill himself and the elder toads.
