Profile pic problems

Sorry if i get scolded here but i tried doing it like in the how to thread but the pictures i uploaded to my nb album didint work just says invalid file?

Any tips?

Em the one i want is on 430kb it says..all the pics i have are all vlc snaps from animes =/

There arent any picture forums where one can use pics from?
