Just a question about Zetsu

Just a question I was thinking. If Madara's Zetsu could mimic people charka to or almost exactly as the original, then why did he not copy all of the strongest shinobi's that were living. I mean he couldv'e copied Itachi and Nagato and all the other atatsuki memebers. Is there a limit to the numbers of copies he could make? Because I would have made like 100 Itachi's and 100 nagato's. And Zetsu is under his full control. If he wanted to win the war that surely wouldv'e been the way to do it.

he can but they are weak copies that couldnt do much they wouldnt have gotten their dojutsu if itb was a copy

Well, I'm not entirely sure, but I was under the impression that he can sort of mimic their appearance and chakra, but he wouldn't actually gain their abilities or power. It's just.. decoration, so to speak. It's used to trick people into thinking he's an ally, but.. it doesn't really have any battle purposes.

But you see how that battle went between Bee and Kisame. Zetsu was a pretty strong copy of Kisame. It took A and Bee to beat him.

Zetsu only swapped with kisame right before A and B took off his head so the entire fight other than decapitation was the real Kisame.

It would be a cool intimidation technique but other than that it wouldn't really be that awesome.
Mostly because of the reasons stated above. No Itachi abilities, no Itachi.

I thought Kisame stayed hidden inside samehada and it wasn't til after the water bubble, which would still make the Kisame Zetsu pretty strong. So how could Zetsu not have been fighting in the begining?

as stated before he switched in the water bubble right after the ink attack, but back to main question, it would be intimidating but they cant actually use the persons previous jutsu, thats why kabumaru's impure ressurection is superior to the zetzus. hope i helped

this was an already known fact, that he has to come into contact with their chakra
