Ok so i found this easy way to make renders in gimp, and i want to show you ^^
Here goes:
So you start with an normal image im going to use on of link:
Ok so we start by opening gimp, then put there your image:
Then go to Layer-transparency-Add alpha channel
Then select your magic wand tool and click on the white background
Then go to Edit-Cut
And click on the white background, it should look like this
Then u will se that betwen the arms and the body theres still white, so click on magic wand tool, click on the white between the arms and body and then go to Edit-Cut and it should look like this
Now theres still white around the render so take Eraser tool and zoom in in the areas that there are still white and the erase them with the Eraser tool
And then u have your render done (optional: had something that says it was rendered by you)
It should look like this:
