i honestly think itachi could beat pain, cause naruto beat pain, and right b4 itachi died he easily captured naruto plus itachi was stronger then most people presume

yea but pain was fighting to capture naruto not to kill and its easy to catch 1 person in a genjutsu but he cant catch 6 unless he has some unkown sh*t
more often than not pain would win
oh no i dont think he could. naruto dint beat pain i mean yahiko the nine tails did and itachi cannot beat the nine tails. and naruto dint beat nagato either nagato chose his own death. the rest of the paths were taken down easily enough. this thread has been done multiple times before

well, the thing is that if itachi caught 1 body of a pain in eye genjutsu, he would catch all of them, as they all have linked eyes

1on1s are about matchups....not if u can beat this person who beat this one u can beat this one....thats why naruto who has alot of charka can beat the 6 pains but itachi would beat naruto simply with genjutsu and pain would beat itachi because there are too many and he doesnt have the stamina

I think he's referring to when Itachi gave him "the gift" we still don't know yet. But yes, Itachi never captured Naruto.

Well I think Itachi could win if he had previous knowledge of Pain and pulled out all the stops in the beginning. Amaterasu could be used to take out the path that can resummon the dead paths, and it is too fast for the fat path to get in the way and suck up the attack. And as we all know the Yata mirror can turn back any attack and the Totsuga sword seals whatever it touches so if he pulled out Susanoo in the very beginning and used Amaterasu on the path that can bring back other paths and used Tsukuyomi on the path that sucks up chakra (assuming that not every Path gets put into Tsukuyomi) then he could finish the battle with Susanoo and his super powerful weapons.
So once again the only way I see Itachi winning is if he had knowledge of Pain's technique, because if he doesn't take out all of the paths on his first try then he would run out of chakra and get dominated.
