Kisame couldn't possibly be taken out, I think suigetsu is a good ninja but kisame is just a beast. Also he can't be taken out because kisame will side with konoha and teach naruto water jutsus and tell naruto about the power itachi gave him. As long as juugo and suigetsu stay alive I'm good, I don't care about karin and her bitten up body lol.

Kisame's a really cold dude, he was probably the most coldest member of Akatsuki, so him aiding Konoha is very unlikely.
But then again, Naruto's last name "Uzumaki" means whirlpool, he would be the ideal teacher for Naruto to learn him the water element. If he can find a way to calm Naruto down, I guess he's still angry at him.

I've also been wondering about this. Maybe they take the idea of "clan" like in many ancient cultures: only men are taken into consideration, because when a woman marries someone from another clan, she's automatically considered a member of the clan and not an outsider, and loses her last name, for instance.
Wonder if this is what used to happen in Japan, though.

I too hope kisame will teach Naruto water element!!! But I dont think he has the state of mind to keep his cool when it will come to teaching Naruto... but a Hard nuts teacher might make Naruto a little less childesh!!

At first Karin was like alright... I could see her hooking up with Sasuke... But now with dose bite marks... She seems good for Choiji...

well 2 things jumped out at me
- 1 kishi said he had only made kisame to travel with itachi,therefore pretty much only being loyal to itachi
- 2he also said sum1 from akatsuki would ally w/konoha...only person that seem logical is kisame ,,,,,,,,,,,,,,also as perviously mentioned he is prob the only one capable of explaining the power itachit gave him ......plus i just think itachi had to have sum1 ..i mean ev1 needs a friend right? that goes w/o saying i think hes the only 1 who know's what itachi's complete motives are behind the illusions he lead ev1 to believe
True, kisame looks like the impatient type just like shikamaru, but like you said it could make naruto less childish.
As long as it's not confirmed I don't think that Itachi or Jairaya are dead. Maybe when naruto finishes his sage training and masters it, jairaya will come out of Pa Frog's mouth just like orochimaru comes out of snakes. Seems pretty weird but maybe where jairaya fell into was really Pa Frog's belly and he is being kept there to be healed.
