I dont think everyone around at the time of the nine tails attack knows. I mean yes it makes logical sense that minato would save the village and put the nine tails in his son and not some random kid but then why wouldnt anyoen respect him and treat him with care if they knew he was the 4ths son! I believe that sometime soon his friends will find out about it and will be shocked.

I have a feeling its going to come up soon in the manga. Also I dont know what youre talking about when u say it wont WOW them. Everyone would be shocked to say the least. The 4th was one of the most respected person in leaf history and to have naruto as his son is a shocker.

So history won't be changed, Minato tells them that it is best to erase everybody's memories. Naruto tells Minato that he still needs to tell him something, and that if he doesn't now he'll never have the chance to. Naruto begins to ask if Minato can possibly be his father, but Minato interrupts him and replies that if he ever had a son, he can raise him to be a wonderful shinobi like Naruto, implying Minato knew who Naruto was the whole time while Naruto didn't know him.

Iruka already knows. The 3rd Hokage explained it to him and Iruka lost his parents in the nine tails attack and he knew the 4th sealed the kyuubi in his son.

in naruto shippuden movie 4... seeing that naruto didn't know that minato was father and jiraiya being dead, i can gladly say that the movie was done between pervy sage's death and the destruction of the leaf by pain.

Couldnt agree more. I just think that this would push Naruto over the edge in regards to EVERYTHING. Hokage would be his easily, no doubt. The girl he want ie Sakura, No Doubt. On top of the respect that he already earned for saving the village would be the respect for the 4ths son. I guess the only thing really missing is Sasuke, but that is no surprise
