No I don't think Itachi gave Naruto something from Susano, I really think it's something to negate the effect of EMS/MS that controls the Kyubi.

hahaha..using them differently but not change???well, i don't get it...once the blade becomes an arrow...is no longer a blade...once the shield becomes a bow is no longer a shield....i hope you get this....if you don't then better....go to school and study well...
now how are you not getting what he means? its not that the items are shapeshifting when being used, they are just being used in a different manner than before. Take bleach for example, if you look up on later episodes, one character always used a bow and arrow, but for one fight he pulled out a sword and used it as such for the entire fight, until he was ready to finish his opponent, then he put it to his bowstring and fired it. A sword, reguardless of what its originally meant to do, is still a straight pointy ended object which, given the strength can be shot like an arrow. You seemed quick to call someone else silly and their idea stupid when you yourself couldnt grasp the concept.

the yata mirror (shield) and the totsuka Blade (weapon) are not given to sasuke ... review black zetsu's dialogue , chapter 138 shipp ... and compare it with sasuke's susano ... even in the manga... maybe the shield .. but not the blade !

naw dude i think susano having that ear ring is jst for fashion show nothing to do with naruto's neckless i think the nine tails mode its from a scroll he swallowed
Close. the symbols on naruto's neck is not releated to susano'o it is releated to the sage of six paths because he was born with those symbols around his neck plus somehow he is related to the uzumaki clan......so we all gonna have to wait tell the next few chapters come out!

Kishi bases naruto on some japanese myths
those earrings are called magatama beads heres what the myth from wiki tells

Magatama (勾玉 or 曲玉), are curved beads which first appeared in Japan during the Jōmon period.

They are often found inhumed in mounded tumulus graves as offerings to deities (see grave goods). They continued to be popular with the ruling elites throughout the Kofun Period of Japan, and are often romanticised as indicative of the Yamato Dynasty of Japan. They are mainly made of jade (翡翠), agate (瑪瑙), quartz (石英), talc (滑石), and jasper (碧玉).[1] Some consider them to be an Imperial symbol, although in fact ownership was widespread throughout all the chieftainships of Kofun Period Japan. It is believed that magatama were popularly worn as jewels for decoration, in addition to their religious meanings. In this latter regard they were later largely replaced by Buddhist prayer beads in the Nara period.

In modern Japan, the magatama's shape of a sphere with a flowing tail is a common visual representation of the human spirit (hitodama).[citation needed]

Yasakani no Magatama

The most important magatama is the Yasakani no Magatama (八尺瓊曲玉, also 八坂瓊曲玉), which is part of the Imperial Regalia of Japan, added some time around the Heian period. The Yasakani no Magatama stands for benevolence, and is one of the three items used in the ceremony of imperial ascension. In Japanese mythology, the jewels, along with the mirror, were hung on the tree outside of Amaterasu's cave (where she had hidden) to lure her out. It is believed to be a necklace composed of jade magatama stones instead of a solitary gem as depicted in popular culture. It is believed to be enshrined in Kokyo, the Japanese Imperial Palace.

so it could have some religious meaning or its just something flashy art :p like ppl wear earrings or necklaces

Oke, heres my thought on the itachi's gift to naruto.. I think itachi made naruto immume to izagni ( i probably spelled it wrong, i mean the genjutsu that turns imagination to reality.. I belive this jutsu is also used for the moon-eye plan.. Correct me if i'm wrong) maybe itachi thought that sasuke's and naruto's combined strenght could defeat madara when he complete's the moons eye plan. (when itachi has given naruto the gift he says: lets hope you never need it, itachi wouldnt want the plan to succeed)

I think it'll go like this... Madara pulls it off... The whole world is staring at the moon, sasuke now with itachi's eyes and naruto immume to the moon eye are not under the genjutsu. Naruto cry's over sasuke... They have a little fight.. Sasuke decides to join forces with naruto.. And they both defeat madara... End of story

LOL..you wanna join? first, i never called anybody silly....in my entire posts, never did i typed the word silly....only you....secondly, the concept that you are talking about was based on the bleach, i for one time watched bleach and i enjoyed it but somehow when you tell me the concept at least use the chapters in naruto to back you up otherwise, no matter how great your blabbering to me it has no effect whatsoever...it will render useless. thirdly, if you like to conceptualize do it on your own manga, and don't force me to believe in your own concept because as far as i am concerned, i am just following the concept presented to me by the creator of naruto....don't tell me that an arrow is a blade or sword....because each has distinct characteristics which made them differ from each other..if the concept of blade to you is an arrow...don't force me to believe you...eitherway, i am not doing that....what i am trying to explain there are things real in narutoverse...lastly, if you want to argue don't use that technique, attacking me personally, it is fallacy and won't work....read my signature and comprehend every bit written therein...LOL

where did you get this idea that the So6P was born with the necklace - like symbol?
also, in what particular chapter, page or time in ship that would back up your somehow theory that So6P is related to uzumaki clan? i knew senju and uchiha...and senju are distant relative of uzumaki...relatives here could mean consanguinity or affinity..

I haven't read the whole topic but... my guess Susano'o is that it's shape depends on persons character, but still what I am not that sure about it, since I compared it mostly on manga pics (where is just few of Itachi's Susano'o's pics in skeleton and human-like form)

But comparing the looks of that human-like form (not cloacked) of Itachi's and Sasuke's Susano'o is the basic of my opinion which I am too lazy too dig out and confirm myself

Itachi's Susano'o is that of calmy looking woman (at least for me it looks like calm female)
(can't post links, so I just copied part after www:p)
narutobase.net/manga/Naruto/393/5
narutobase.net/manga/Naruto/393/6
And Itachi looked always calm (except of one time when he talked with Sasuke before fight)

Than looking at Sasuke's Susano'o, we can see it has evil grin
narutobase.net/manga/Naruto/480
narutobase.net/manga/Naruto/478/8
Which may be related to Sasuke's vengful character and evil that dwells inside of him
We can see it also in skeleton form:
narutobase.net/manga/Naruto/477/4
...and I haven't found pic of Itachi's skeleton-Susano to have such a grin but that may because there's just few of them, not showing it very well :p.
But the other thing showing the difference in character are colors. Itachi's has red color while Sasuke's has more evil looking purple color, but I guess you must compare colors yourelf, since that description of mine sucks like hell

As for weapons... well, here my guessing ends, since I can't find any symbolicizm. Maybe it's because Itachi wanted to protect what he loved, so he got Sword with great sealing powers and strong Shield to protect them from attacks and since Sasuke wants to shoot everyone around, he got just bow :p
