Decent chapter; it's nice to see the other side of the war moving along.
After reading this forum and people's comments, I'd like to point out a few things that some people seem to have either over-read or just didn't pay close attention to.
1. Dan and Kakazu have both been freed by Gedo Statue's rampage.
So yes, we're probably going to see more of them in the first division's battle, specifically Dan's "Ghost Technique". Please refer to Manga Chapter 537; Page 7 for evidence.
2. The reason for not showing Kakashi's or Gaara's battle is because of time consistancy.
If you've been reading, you've probably noticed that Kishimoto likes to focus on one part and then skips to another area to show what has been happening there at the same time. Also, please consider this: In both proposed battles, they are versing against characters brought back by Impure World Resurrection. Though the Joint Shinobi Alliance has brought along sealing techiques upon sealing techiniques, you cannot assume they can perform them instaneously. Therefore both Kakashi's and Gaara's battle would end up taking more than one chapter of story to complete, which would detract from Kishimoto's ability to keep everything in a semi-current timeline.
My theory is that Kishimoto will get back to these battles, and probably show them in the same chapter, occuring at the same time. And if this is wrong, then odds are the battles will show up in an episode in the Shippuden Anime.
3. Madara's "Moons-Eye" plan is occuring on the night of the next day.
Madara notes "My ambition for so many years, "Eye of the Moon Plan", is finally going to be realized tomorrow." He does not say "tonight", therefore, he's going to be sealing the Gin and Kin Brothers Nine-Tails chakra in the Gedo Statue either that same night, or the next day. I will speculate on what this means in the next section below. Please refer to Chapter 537; Page 14 for evidence.
And, here are my plotline theories:
Madara's "substitute", as it is implied, will most likely revive a portion of the Kyuubi's power. It would not make sense that Madara would be able to fully unlock his "Moons-Eye" plan until all tailed-beast chakra is sealed in the Gedo Statue. However, it is entirely plausible that Madara will be able to access a portion of his plan using the Gin and Kin Brother's nine-tailed chakra as a "substitute" and perhaps be able to control part of the Shinobi Alliance (as this would work better with his plan).
We all seem to forget that Kabuto still controls the Kage's, previous Jinchuuriki's, the Mist's Seven-Swordsmen, deceased Akatsuki members, AND several notable ninja. With all this power, Kabuto could easily tilt either side of this war, or even better yet, tilt the war in his favor. Though Kabuto hasn't seriously acted on this (wisely, I might add), he still has a large amount of room to step in and do several things which I feel I should not speculate upon until more of his intentions become clear in the Manga.
Kishimoto would not have had Killer-Bee mention Naruto's over-use of Rikudo-Mode without good reason. Naruto is going to exhaust a good portion of his own chakra before he enters any major battle, whether it be with Madara, Sasuke, or (something I hope to see) against Kabuto's jinchuurki resurrections. Therefore, Naruto will find himself in a tight spot (shocker, eh?) and may end up being saved by some inexplicable miracle.
