Well im alsmost positive guy admits in the original naruto series that he is indeed superior to kakashi, but I dont see how. Kakashi has the "eye" plus other great tricks up his sleeves. And guy mostly has karate strength, and his eight gates, but I dont see guy winning..

Kakashi wins this fight because he will outclass Guy in Ninjutsu and Taijutsu and Guy will resort to opening the 6 gates and he has to stand still to do so so that is ideal for Kakashi to pop his head off with Kamui.

I like gai and he's one of the funniest characters but against kakashi i dont think he would win i mean come on gai is fast and strong but he's a close range fighter kakashi has so many copied techniques that he could use from a distance and his sharingan predicts enemies movements

Okay, firstly you're missing a Poll... Second, Kakashi without even a second thought. I didn't here them calling on Gai to be Hokage while Tsunade was sick, and possibly dying.

Gai aint the only one who can open gates. Kakashi can open em too. Gai is just too quick to resort to that. We hardly ever see Kakashi open the gates because he is such a skilled ninja that he doesn't need to do it. Gai on the other hand has nothing. If he can't land a punch, he automatically resorts to gate opening. Smooth.

Now, the question becomes:
Who would win? Kakashi (after he opens the 5th gate), or Gai (also after the 5th gate)

I think Kakashi would pretty much just become a speeding entity of Raikiri. Gai would get his ass handed to him on a silver platter.

Since when could Kakashi open the gates? I can't remember ever hearing that...

Kakashi mid diff. The fact that he's only fighting taijutsu will let him use his ms easily when he gets an open shot on guy. Granted tha6t taijutsu will be intense, but kakashi can handle it
