How do you guys pick support players? Because for some reason I cant think of anything for Gaara. Or do you guys use the same support players for every person?

2 things should come into mind when picking supports;1) how good they are actually as supports, and 2) Team Boosts.

You always want to pick 1 attack and 1 bal for the best results in order to win [SB+Cover Fire+ U2 Absorbtion], guard is pretty useless unless you rely on awakening , or if you are bad at managing chakra.

List of good attack supports in general; Itachi, Kakuzu, Deidara, Choji, Tobi.

List of good bal supports in general; Peinis, Shikamaru, Deidara, SM Naruto.

With Gaara, either go for his best Team Boost [Temari and Kankuro], or try the above.

My personal favourite is Itachi/Kakuzu [offense] w/ Dei/Peinis [bal] - Itachi and Kakuzu gives you long range attack support + SB, as well as chip-damage from fireballs.
Dei gives you another long-range support, as well as good tracking and SB, his cover fire causes SB and chip damage which is useful, but it is slower than regular cShuriken as a downpoint, since Gaara's have slow startup, but if you get both in, it almost guarantees high chip damage and SB.
Peinis gives you support from almost EVERY attack with ST, as well as SB if you do it close enough to the opponent. His cover fire gives you the fastest cShuriken to add onto yours, doesn't cause SB though.

u named some supports that are not good for supports but deidara its good and it took me awhile to dodge his attacks (support)

I don't rely on awakening, but sometimes when I play online I go into it because of the slight lag, which gives you a small bit more which puts you into your ultimate form.

Ultimate forms I hate are typically Minato for obvious reasons; the warping thing is annoying, but manageable, and Naruto (Sage Mode/Hokage Costume). People who have to go into awakening for the latter just suck ass. I mean, sure it's powerful, but when only one attack, which you spam take a third of your health everytime it's used, you know it's overpowered.

As for support, I usually go for the team boosts, instead of Chiyo/Hidan/Itachi. I main Shikamaru, Hidan and Neji myself, in which I always use different support. Shikamaru I will use Asuma Guard, and Ino Balance. Guard can work wonders for those who spam shuriken, such as Deidara, Tenten etc. Ino's balance works as Poison always helps. Hidan I use Kakuzu/Pein supports. Kakuzu for Guard and Pein for attack. Neji I go with Guy/Tenten supports. Guy for long-range, and Tenten for close-range, which send them upwards, which also means I can easily get an ultimate in without them guarding/dodging if I time it right.

That's why you approach them, and cDash into support so they can only KNJ it or let it hit :facepalm:.

Also supports are for more than just hitting the enemy with, tbh I find Deidara easier to dodge than Kakuzu because his birds have less tracking than Kakuzu's 4 fireballs, Itachi> all of them though, if you cDash, or jump-->support at close range, he's devastating as attack support.

I usually main kakuzu or sasori because I am pro with both of them, I despise sasuke in this game to a point becuz he seems to easy to use, also because a pro can use the most difficult characters to a degree. Usually when I use sasori I throw shuriken when my puppet is off of my screen becuz most of he time ppl can't see it coming and thus I quickly bait them into a combo and repeat. Remember, don't bash on sasori just becuz he is a puppet user. Sasori is meant to be a defensive minded char, you must exploit the opponents weaknesses and attack when openings are available. I use kakuzu cuz he is my fave char in the series thus far, also becuz his moves are so devastating.

Btw, I have never lost an online match with sasori yet

If you look below, I certainly back up Sasori, since he's the only S Tier Character in the game - 2 guards, devastating cShuriken, retractable/controllable puppet, good grab, BEST TILT IN THE GAME, and easy U2 to land off SB, he's a beast of a character if you pick him up.

Tobi is my fav...especially when he becomes madara as well as nine tailed rasengan naruto.

Once again it's not if you cDash--> support at close range because of faster startup than Dei - Kakuzu is better at mid-close range, Dei succeeds at mid-long range, although Kakuzu can be used at long range, he is insane if you get him near them roblem:.

cDash = Chakra Dash = Triangle then X or Y then A.


cDash either stuns them [meaning ANY attack whatsoever automatically lands during the short period if timed well] if they are not blocking, or it "clashes" them if they are guarding, causing them to "bounce back", meaning they can't block the support and HAVE TO KNJ, which uses up their chakra and still does damage anyways, or they just simply get hit
