lmao you just described the what means 'epic battle' ..he "just went to 8tails mode" lol...that wasn't enough for you? what else would naruto possibly could have done? or even pain
haha true what more can you ask for?!! this is naruto's style and way of fighting! isnt this the same thing that he did with sasuke??? but with pain he did it triple the intensity! in other word more epic yet!!!
Well really he didn't do anything in tailed beast mode other than break out of chibaku tensei and the rest of the fight was just rasengans. If he managed to throw in some kunai and some taijutsu then it would have been better. Like the Itachi/Sasuke fight. That one had it all, Genjutsu, Ninjutsu,and Taijutsu.
rock lee vs gaara, 3rd vs oro, gaara vs naruto, naruto vs sasuke etc.....up against chiyo vs sasori, naruto vs oro, sasuke vs diedara, sasuke vs itachi, jiraiya vs pain, etc.....and i say the only two fights really holding up to shippuden's lvl of fights are 3rd vs oro and naruto vs sasuke....but thats just my personal opinion....cant deny all these epic fights....plus the characters are stronger/revealed more jutsu...just doesnt make sense to me that you think naruto fights were better than shippuden's.....all good tho. opinion is opinion.
the naruto vs pain fight is just that. naruto is the type of character to not use a variety of jutsus but to perfect the one he has....you can't use his character model for everyone else...doesnt make sense...jiraiya had a variety of jutsus....so did pain...sasuke....kakuzu....kakashi....etc....the fights in shippuden forced characters to use all their trump cards...like you said, "use their full abilities" ...so im not seeing what you're saying.
I'm saying I would like to see them use their full range of abilities rather than just spamming their best or most well known jutsu. Everybody likes spontaneity, especially me. Like I love kakashi's fights because we don't see him doing the same thing all the time, when he fought Zabuza he used a water dragon technique and then the very next time he fought him he summoned dogs and used chidori. (at least I'm pretty sure it was still chidori back then, not raikiri). And the reason I love watching Itachi's fights are because you never know what he is going to do, with Naruto and now Sasuke you know what they are going to do so it kind of detracts from it, for me at least. I guess that is why I didn't like the Pein vs. Naruto fight because I knew Deva Path was going to use shinra tensei on him and I knew Naruto was going to kill him with a rasengan after he did something with clones where he hid until the last second like he always does.
