I have a hunch that the Jutsu was part of the Forbidden Jutsu that Shodaime put away, the same scroll Naruto stole to become a Genin.

I can't remember if it was in the scroll or not, but I have a feeling Sarutobi knew about it before Minato performed it through the scroll which only the Hokage and Naruto have seen... IRONIC?

you'd think with sarutobi being older he'd have known/created it instead but he called it the 4th's technique in the fight he used it on oro so minato might have created it, but it still might have been created before and put in that scroll yeah. pretty sure you have to sign a contract with the death god to be able to use it like a summoning, id like to see how that goes down haha.

well edo tensei is already forbidden which is the highest rank as far as i know, but you'd need someone who can reach in the death god's belly and pull out a soul to bring him back. lol maybe edo tensei the old leader of the uzumaki and force him to make you a new sealing tech to undo RDS?

not sealed, the cylinder was just a container for his heart he needs a peice of his body to be able to use chakra but nothing had a seal on it.

Minato cannot be revived, kabuto said the targets soul must reside in the pure world go read the manga again! minato's soul is in the demon's belly so he cant be revived using this technique!! furthermore minato didnt seal his soul in naruto he sealed chakra and even kakashi said this when tenzo was wondering how naruto met the 4th!!

So lets say for hypothetical sake the 4th is in that coffin, That was so long ago it doesn't even matter. That doesn't change the story line at this point in the slightest. Say it was the 4th in there, do you want a medal? In all seriousness people that make topics like this only start flame wars.

It's called impure world resurection because it takes the souls from the pure world and brings them back to the impure world. A soul trapped in the belly of the beast is not a soul trapped in the pure world so it can not be brought back. There are limits to the jutsus so no one is playing God. If you could bring back the 4th Kabuto would have, if you could bring back SO6P Kabuto would have.
