First of all...I just wanted to highlight or to emphasize that this may be sensitive or whatever depending on how you will interpret this thread..

I just wanted to know your opinion on how you view the world on your own perspective.. is it fair or unfair? some of says it is, some of us says its not and some of us just dont care..

As we may say that our lives are and were affected of many different things, some are important and some are not.. Some can blame fate, some blame others and some blame their own selves.. But you? how do you view life?

In the given choices below, what do you think is the most thing that influences your lives and the lives of other people? It involves your happiness, sadness, failures, success, sufferings and glory..

ENVIRONMENT - the physical environment that you have.. (city, provinces,religion,etc.). In choosing this one, you mostly believe that the world had given you the life you have now.

SOCIAL GROUPS - different people whom you've spent and whom you are spending your life with. In choosing this one, you highly believe that the people sorrounding you are the one that affected your life the most..

INTERNAL - the way you choose, the way you handled life...In choosing this.. you highly believe that it's your own choice, discretion and decision that makes your life the way it is now.

Im not asking this just to kill time.. I have an important reason to ask this things.. and aside from me.. who knows? you might enlighten yourselves and others also...

let's respect each other. thanks..:)

I think it's a bit of all 3 that shapes who we are.

The environment:
In the 3rd world people have a huge disadvantage..poor schools, health care, governments and wars etc. You can be the brightest person since decades but battling these odds will prove extremly tough if not impossible.

Social groups:
i think religion would fall under this as well and this one might be the biggest infuance.
for instance if your born in some small Amish town next to some back road in Pennsylvania..chances are high you will adopt there customs.
Put that same kid in a atheist family and he will most likely renounce all religions...simply because of the way he or she was raised.

Internal:

Everyone is there own person and will form there own identity, but there identity will be based on the 2 factors above. However how much perseverance a person has will be a strong factor in how good that person will be able to live his life.

As for your question..

Well more yes the no.
There is more bad things happening in the world then good.
So the world is pretty much unfair, but when you live in a prosperous country where you can go to school and make something out of yourself, i think you shouldn't complain that things are not fair, because the way that you (in general) can live your life is what's unfair compared to people starving in Africa.

at last.. somebody gives a worthy explanation...

We might say that we are affected by the factors around.. or i should say.. yes probably we are affected... but the way we react or how we decide on certain things is our own doing.. i mean for example... two child was born without a father.. one chooses to finish his studies on his own and to make his life great and another chooses to stop his studies and finds job and never succeeded...

thanks :)

And i agree, like i said, perseverance is a strong factor that will shape our lives.
it all depends on the situation.
your exampled is true, but the other way around works as well.
someone with a below average IQ but with a good and loving family will also more likely be successful because he or she has a family that backs them up and pushes them to do better.
i guess it depends on how much of the 3 factors you have.

Paris Hilton:
good family, rich beyond believe b4 she was born, but not the brightest of people is still successful.

Oprah:
bad family, way worse financial situation, but smart and caring as anyone can be and well to say successful is an understatement xd

and so then.. we may conclude that in our lives.. there are things that might affect us but at the end it's our choice that's make the difference?

"Life is nothing but sacrifices." If you work, you have money. If you study, you have knowledge.

Socially speaking... well... people tend to be a bunch of fiddle sticks.

((Yes, the world is fair to me.))
