[Discussion] Is Team 10 the best team in Naruto?

It seems like they are the best team in Naruto given how well they work together. They are lead by the smartest kid in Naruto's generation. A powerful fighter in Choji. And a useful girl. A very rare thing in Naruto where the girl is always the Load. Each one covers the others moves.

Compare them to the other teams.

Team 7 (The Big Guy Naruto, The Girl Sakura, The Smart Guy Sai)
Anyone with a brain would take Naruto over Choji. But I'd take Shika over Sai and Ino over Sakura

Team 8 (The Big Guy Kiba, The Smart Guy Shino, The Girl Hinata)
I'd take Choji over Kiba. Shika over Shino. And Ino over Hinata

Team Gai (The Big Guy Lee, The Smart Guy Neji, The Girl Tenten)
Lee and Butterfly CHoji is a tie. Shika and Neji is a tie although I lean toward Shika. But I'd take Ino over Tenten. Banana fan or no banana fan.

Anyone disagree?

Team 7 (Sasuke Naruto and Sakura) are better than team 10.

Team Gai is also better than Team 10.

And also don't underestimate Shino. He can beat Shikamaru.

if Team 7 was the current Naruto, current Sasuke, and Sakura (current or as you put her in this scenario, doesn't really matter), then Team 7 destroys Team 10 (doesn't matter if they work together, if they were all told that they either had to fight Team 10 or die, and Team 10 was told the same thing, 7 destroy 10). and while you shouldn't underestimate Shino, Shino versus Shika... in terms of intelegence, Shika all the way. in a fight, Shino. also, the 3 sannin would kill them as well (I use 'kill' as a strong term for 'defeat').

when it comes to team work, i'd say team 10, because they understand each other very well since they've teamed up from generation to generation. And the most important thing is team work.

Not sure, once Naruto pulled his head out of his ass and Sai found his place and grove in the team, and has filled in for sauske well. I'd like to see a battle team 10 vs team 7. To see who would come out on top.

I know your a team 7 fan seems like because Tamari and Shikamaru might have a thing going when their together. But I could be wrong.

I'll take team seven over team ten for these reasons.
Inos mind transfers wouldnt work on Naruto even if Shikamaru caught him with his shadow. Sai is apt at long mid and short range battles. Sakura is a bit more powerful and has more skill in medical ninjuitsu and is stronger out right.

But not sure if I do a break down it would be the same, but thats how I take it at the moment. nice thread.

Shikamaru is just a better version of Shino. Plus Shino is barely in the manga. He has almost no character development. He is like Tenten. Shikamaru appears a lot in the manga and is an important character. No way would Kishi allow someone like Shino to beat him.

They have better teamwork than most but Ino is not stronger than Sakura or Hinata, shika is a genius but how will his genius hold up against naruto and sasuke? Even with Sai team 7 would still be better

Anyways, I think in you're first post you said you would take Ino over Hinata...I'd disagree there...I don't see her using the mind tech on Hinata...

anyways it depends how you look at it. each team is very different and their strengths comes from different elements.

Team Ino Shika Cho

Shikumaru is a genius. Ino is alright. Sakura, Hinata and even Tenten have proved to be alot better than her in a 1on1 fight. Choji, i love Choji but the dude is not better than Naruto, Lee etc.

they have great teamwork however. their team bond is also strengthened by the relationship of their clans being so close. i always thought it was just a funny coincedence that their fathers were a team too but from the last chapter its evident that their 3 clans have been working together for generations now. imagine all the combination jutsus and attacks that have been made between the 3 clans from generations of teammwork?

anyways that is Team 10s strength but in no way i would say they are the best team of their generation.

its actually hard to compare. if we compared strength they would not be the strongest. if it was comparing teammwork i would tie them with Team Guy. or maybe tie them with Team Sand (Gaara, Kankuro and Temari.. do they count?)

I think team 10 is the third strongest.
After team 7 and gai team.

They are tied Shino team because that can go either way.

Also are we talking about now or regular Naruto. If we talking regular the line up would change more.

Sauske is a genius in his own right, he deduced a way to counteract Dederias blast element/clay, and created his own type of lightning type chakra nature with his lightening blade(not chidori), and also the Riaton senbon(sp?) Shikamaru is good at making plans and staying one step a head. But him vs Sauske even with out MS would be a good bout.

Sai was also good enough to be enlisted into the root divison of ANBU, not really sure if thats saying much, but he has some skillz. If he only knew some sealing style juitsu he could wreck some ninja. I'd say he would give Shikamaru a run for his money too.

He would have to catch him first and hope that it wasnt a bug clone while hes being tracked and hunted by Shinos destruction bugs.
