Tsk! Pathetic! I want to strive for a better NB RP Battle Forum, where the battles make since, isn't all'a 'bout OP skills, actually have an RP feel to them, makes you want to read them and they're just plain and simple fun. Honestly, I don't believe that I'm the only one on this site who wants that ether.

So I create this thread in hopes to spark up ideas on how to improve the RP Battles, but as soon as a open my mouth there's some hater, hatin' on progress and improvement. On top of that, there's actually more than one hater! The rules aren't fallowed the fighting styles are clieche' so many just wanna create super powerful moves to keep from being beat and it's just ridiculous that it's even accepted. Where did all the fun go?

Ruiz.. I strongly hope your right man. I'm not trying to be an as_ hole or annoying in any way. I just feel like things can be a whole lot better. I for one can't wait to be able to start battling! Win or lose it's gonna be a lot'a fun.

I think you're right, but there are certain things you need to take in mind.
As said before, you can't expect everyone to have the same proficiency over the English language. That, however isn't an excuse to just go spamming Jutsu's.
As Tenzo also said, who would honestly decline a free amount of customs? It's all about power, not only here, but everywhere.

This might be off-topic, and aimed at Tenzo-sensei and Mugen but:
You say that you dropped your favourite bio's because of the fact that people are (ab)using certain KG's, not because they like them but because they think of them as powerful.
Isn't it discouraging for new RP'ers to read this? I for example wanted to make a Canon 1st Hokage/Yamato biography but I'm almost scared to do so because of the fact that I'd be following the trend.

I also think switching Bio's and KG's is to keep the drudgery from coming. Let's face it, a lot of people are saying that NB RP is becoming dull (senior members). It's kind of normal that they change bio's after a while. I mean, you won't keep on doing your job for 40 years if you hate it, right? This is basically the same in my opinion.


Anyways, I'm getting tired, so half of this probably didn't make any sense. Try to extract from it what you find useful and criticize/flame me and I will get back to you tomorrow.​

I agree to this, every battle I had so far ended in a draw because of argument

The RP on this site isn't a true "roleplay" compared to other sites out there. Many sites are completely based on becoming your character and not just battling, but acting out stories and developing character relationships.

If thats what you're looking for thats just not how this site is set up. Think of it as a video game. This is more like Mortal Kombat for most people, while what it seems you're looking for is Final Fantasy.

Danzo I totally understand your point dude but when you say, "That's just not how this site is set up." I have to refer you back to the rules set up by * Rei *. True RP isn't what's going on now, your right about that. So my goal is to hopefully get it to where it should be so that people can have fun and fun again.

I was born in Bronx NY but I wasn't raised there. as a part of a military family I moved around a lot, spending most my childhood in San Diego till the latter part here in Virginia. I've been in NY back and forth and I'm told that I have an accent but no one can tell me what kinda accent it is. Unique in it's own right maybe?

Well my point was that even though this isn't a true "RP", its perfectly fine the way it is. A lot of people are already having fun with it the way it is and its very accessible compared to plot based RP sites. At the same time theres room for exactly what you want. There are members, though maybe a small population, who enjoy going into detail when they battle. My suggestion is to try and seek out those members and RP with them.

I'll go back to my video game analogy. Your idea of fun is "Final Fantasy" and you think "Mortal Kombat" is lacking in quality. So you want "Mortal Kombat" to be more like "Final Fantasy". But at the same time there are plenty of people who really enjoy "Mortal Kombat" and want nothing to do with "Final Fantasy". One of the good things about this site is that it leaves room for both types of people.

Theres really no reason to try and force others into being more detailed. Let them do things their way, while you can also do things your way. While I agree with some of your points, the overall tone of this thread makes you sound a little arrogant by telling others they don't have "talent" when its not really "talent", its just the RP style they enjoy.

Damn it Danzo, you and your good points. After giving that a considerable amount of thought I respect your opinion because what you said rings true. Akihiko, Ruiz.. and the others who've stuck with me, I think it's best that I move from this thread to create a poll. Not everyone has to change their styles to suit a classic RP feel, not for our approvals anyway. But at least if I create a poll we can find others like us and RP with them. It might leave a huge chunk of people out, but I believe that if people see how we RP, they might like it and want to try? Who knows? At any rate, forcing my opinions or "what I think is the right way" on others isn't the right way at all, thus this topic needs to close.

I'm not a noob hater, but i do disliike people who without knowing the site, just bashes in and says that a lot of shiz need to be re-done.
The fact is that you can easily RP if you want to, there's no rules against it, but there'll never be a rule that'll force people to RP, it's like the thread where Mugen suggested that it should only be allowed to use 3 elements in battle. The suggestion is okay, BUT it will never be accepted, because it's already possible, you can just make a battle thread where it's only allowed to use 3 elements, you just have to state it in the rules. How can it be so hard to understand???
The RP on NB is just loads of people spamming their techniques, but some people like you Tenzo and me actually wants to RP, maybe you want to RP in a different way than me, but the fact stands that i think fights without dialogue history and Taijutsu is pretty wasted.
Please don't call me a noob hater, the only reason i'm "hating" on you is that you keep ignoring the point in my posts, i actually partly agree with you, but i don't agree with the way you do it. You haven't made any RP threads or battle threads yet, and until you do, it seems to me that you're just making this thread to bash other members, which i find dumb.
Please do make a poll, i'd be glad to join any RP if there was any, just don't call me a noob hater.
Tenzo, please no, just no. The post you quoted with me and Itachi, i don't see what i did wrong or what Itachi did wrong, the fact is that the endless wave of useless threads can be quite frustrating for some people, especially the people who help the new people every time.
