Gaara is a Uzumaki?

It is said that only Uzumaki has the TRADEMARK Red Hair and Gaara and his dad both have red hair. I was wondering if they are from Uzumaki Clan? What are your thoughts?

say he is that would make sense that he could survive having the tailed beast taken out of him just as naruto's mother did as uzamaki seems be able to withstand a great amount of pain and bodily damage compared to other clans but i still think it's very unlikely that this is the case just thought i'd put my 2 cents in anyway

I think it could be probable that hes chakra came through the Uzumaki blood line, Negatos Uzumaki blood made it to the land of rain/the rain village and its almost smack dab in the middle of the wind,earth, and fire countries.

Furthermore if you listen to him talk during the kage summit, he said he was almost killed after/during the extraction of the tailed beast. I always thought he was dead, but he could have just been commatose, kind of like how Narutos mom survived the nine tails being ripped from her, but I'd say that she has more of the chakra of the Uzumaki than Gara did.

I'll look for manga links and it is in one of the most recent anime episodes, I'm thinking more along the lines of two or three episodes agoish.
