(Hi my name is Melody. My life was typical up until a certain point. I did the usual stuff most teens do you know hang out with friends, go to parties once in a while, cramming right before a test and other things of the nature. Then when I turned 16, which is supposed to be a girl's favorite year because you are finally a woman, I found a flute resting in my bed. I was a bit curious as wouldn't you be if you found an instrument in your room that you don't know where it came from. So, I picked up the strange flute nervously and started to play it. A strange feeling sparked in my body and I realized it was my "Gift" from my parents. You see I forgot to mention that I am ...well as some people may put it a "freak of nature". And every time someone of my kind turns 16 they receive their "Gift" which is an enchanted instrument however you have to be a "freak" as I mentioned earlier to use it. I know you're probably wondering why does she call herself a "freak" well I don't have self-esteem issues or am I afraid of I am I just say "freak" because I don't know what my kind is actually called but we look exactly like humans so that's a plus. But back to what I was talking about earlier, I stared at the flute again and read an inscription on the side "Your Journey soon begins, with this the quest will be much Easier but not Easy". I remember sighing and saying that doesn't help me in the slightest. But nonetheless I set out on the quest(even thought nothing really happened) using the flute to take me from dimension to dimension all though it usually acted on it's own and did all the transporting while I went with the flow. I met an array of strange creatures which I was familiar with like vampires, zombies, wood nymphs, and others. A few of these creatures befriended me and now we all live together. But I still can't figure out what the inscription means )
Melody: (carefully reading the inscription) What does this mean,
*sighs* Am I ever going to understand.
*Mike enters*
Mike: (waves) Hey Melody what's up?
Melody: Nothing much I'm just trying to figure what this inscription means, do
you kn-
Mike: (interrupts) No, for the last time No! I have no idea what it means you
asked me about what a billion times now *laughs*
Melody (whispers) Figures, the zombie kid wouldn't know anything about
inscriptions, I mean his brain is rotting as we speak.
Mike: Well, anyway I'm gonna go outside for a bit, wanna come?
Melody (dismissive tone): No I'm fine *studies the inscription*
Mike: Alright then, have fun
*Mike exits*
Melody: *reads the inscription* That's weird the e in easier and easy are capitalized yet they are supposed to be lowercase. *scratches head* What
does that mean? What does that me- Wait I think I got it. The e is capitalized because they're notes that I'm supposed to play.
*puts the mouthpiece of the flute up to her mouth and plays the E note twice*
*The flute starts to glow ,prompting Melody to drop it, and then proceeds to float in mid-air revealing an image of a woman dressed in Roman garbs with an X-shaped scar running down her cheek*
Melody: *stares at the woman in awe but soon snaps out of it* Hi, were you trapped in that flute.
Guider: (looks toward Melody with a benevolent smile and begins to speak in an emotionless yet convincing tone) No, I am a guider it was simply you being able to decipher that inscription that brought me here which must mean you are ready to begin your journey.
Melody: Well what is this journey your talking about, your majesty.
*thinks: This kinda awkward for me since I don't know how to address her saying guider sounds weird*
Guider: Your journey is to venture to the Dimension of the Mortuus.
Melody: (curious) Dimension of the Mortuus? Where is that?
Guider: Mortuus is located 6 dimensions from here which you must traverse with using your flute.
Melody: What do I do once I get there?
Guider: (smiles) Do not worry once you arrive I will appear and be sure to take care of you. *disappears*
Melody: Well I guess I figured out my quest *sigh* this should be fun.
