Why dont we know anything about Sakura? I mean we dont know her parents, clan (if there is), or element?

honestly, its because shes a girl in a non-girl centered manga, some have girls as the main characters so they are in a better light but in this case, and bleach (partly) and one piece, the girl characters are generally weaker then the men, the only strong characters in bleach were soifon and the black girl (forget her name but shes awesome lol), the others weren't real threats unless the enemy was a one fight side char.

edit:also the 3rd espada was a super strong girl
