Madara said that he was "merely a shell of his former self" due to his injuries in his fight with hashirama, at the kage summit I suppose. We weren't told much about the power of the EMS, or I can't remember. Still, having two sharingan is useless if madara never used the powers of one of them, which we know is true since he always kept it hidden, for whatever reason. By replacing it with a rinnegan, he virtually doubled his powers. Now he has the unique powers of both the sharingan and the rinnegan.

If he used izanagi to create zetsu, I doubt he still wielded his brother's eyes. By transplanting a MS in place of another original MS, the sharingan's power is said to increase, or at least its light never fades away. He'd be still quite powerful no matter which eyes he used.

Izuna's power now fades in comparison to Madara's. The latter now has EMS, rinnegan (planned to take them) and years of experience. He wouldn't be afraid of him, nor would he be impressed by kabuto managing to summon him.

I agree that we didn't get to see much of Izuna's story though. Also, we will see the last coffin in action. not showing us would be bad story-telling on kishimoto's part. it wouldn't even be tempting to hide such facts from the readers

I believe Madara expended his left EMS after his battle with Hashirama by using Izangai to create Zetsu, which he then used to heal himself. He then became a "shell of his former self" from that point on because he essentially lost half of his power.

He has been using these eyes as a replacement for his "inferior left eye", while utilizing his EMS right eye for the space-time ninjutsu techs we see him using so often...Because of this he was able to seal his left eye when using Izangai during his fight with Konan, since it was replaceable. I'm sure you are aware of this, but let me go further...

When Kabuto first revealed the sixth coffin Madara didn't posses the Rinnegan, so he was still the "shell of his former self", so in my mind an invulnerable/vengeful MS wielding Izuna with no MS side-effects could seriously cripple Madara and his plans. But then, Madara obtained the Rinnegan, increasing his power greatly and giving him the confidence/ability to force Kabuto into providing A LOT of information about Impure World Resurrection, since dealing with the "sixth coffin" wouldn't have be an issue with his news powers. Now for the fun...

Madara did seem rather shocked when the "sixth coffin" was shown to him. This would surely mean that it would have to be someone totally unexpected like, So6P. But I say that when Madara used Izangai to make Zetsu he utilized someone as the "vessel", or "blank canvas", thus he was surprised to see the person's face again. Finally, remember there was a snake in Akatsuki that Kabuto once served. I believe this snake obtained Zetsu's DNA to enhance Yamato into a Hashirama wannabe, but upon further experimentation he found it obtained someone else's DNA...keep in mind Kabuto would be informed of all this information, I'm sure. Lets put this all together!

The reason Madara was so surprised to see who was in the "sixth coffin" is because he used Izuna's body to create Zetsu, yet he sees Izuna's body in the coffin! This would make more sense for Zetsu being used to heal Madara's mortal wounds, as I think he does, because Izuna's DNA/body would be very compatible with Madara's. Also, Zetsu would be composed of the first's DNA as well, since Madara obtained his DNA after their fight. Izuna and Hashirama's DNA were the starting points for Zetsu's creation...Now Madara was probably shocked that Izuna's DNA was obtained, since his body became Zetsu, thus there would be no buried body to find. However, as stated above Oro obtained Zetsu's DNA knowing it was composed of Hashirama's, but he further found it contained Izuna's DNA as well. Izuna's DNA was stored or taken from the Zetsu DNA by Kabuto and is now being used as leverage. Zetsu being Izuna's body is Madara's little secret that Kabuto hasn't told a soul about. Boy, Madara sure has exploited his brother! But I think edo tensai'd Izuna and sadly, Kabuto will put a dent in Madara's plans when Kishi throws in another twist!


You've really pushed me to develop this theory, Alkad. You may not agree with it, but I still owe you much credit and will share it with you, unless our theory gets squashed by kishi going in a direction, or you, even someone else dispels it. In the end only time will tell...

correct me if im wrong, but izuna didnt have the izangi. wasnt it only shisui who had it and wasnt that why madara was obsessing over the eye danzo had, and he was so pissed that danzo crushed it? idk, i think that he never had/or has the inzangi. there is still we dont know about the sharingan and its abilities, so he may have someother special/hidden power to use to create zetsu in your theory.

Izanagi is technique, specifically a genjutsu that can only be used when someone has the chakra of senju(yang chakra = yang release) and uchicha chakra/sharingan(yin chakra = yin release). That's why Danzo had all of those sharingan in his arm and senju's DNA embedded in him(the head on his arm). This allowed Danzo to essentially be in a permanent state of izanagi, until all of his sharingan closed and Sasuke killed him.

With izanagi So6P was able to create what his imagination(yin chakra) envisioned. But in order for his imagination to become reality he needed physical energy(yang chakra) to achieve this. Sooo, the tailed beast were what the So6P imagined(yin chakra), then used the living juubi(yang chakra) to create what he imagined.

Since Madara had uchiha charka, a sharingan, and senju DNA he used all of this imagine(yin chakra), Zetsu. But the physical aspect still needed to be accounted for, so he used his brothers corpse(yang chakra) to breathe life into what he envisioned. As a result of using izanagi it permanently shut his left eye. Similar to what we saw with Danzo's eyes closing, while he used izanagi.

I believe Madara just wanted Shisui's eye because of the ability it held and it's power. It seems the more powerful the uchiha nin, the more powerful the sharingan. Shisui was a powerful nin and Danzo knew of this and he knew Madara would want his eye, so he crushed it.

lol mybad, im glad you clarified that for me about the inzangai, i figured it was a special talent that was unlocked from the sharingan (as in sasuke could get it with his powers increasing)...

what if madara does give sasuke itachi's eyes instead of what i think he's really doing (which may be lieing and giving him some other insignificant sharingan users eyes) and he keeps sasuke's sharingan to swap his eye out and has that izangi thing done to him. (isnt sasuke the strongest uchiha besides madara now, like since sasuke activated the susano, and was given amaterasu before he had the EMS? i think madara may have a plan to do this... also im thinking that itachi may have had a back up for this by only allowing sasuke to use those powers as long as they are within him still... idk how far itachi's plans would go, but im hopeing if madara is planing this, it would be great to see his plan foiled by itachi lol.

What I think is that even if madara destroyed his EMS, just by implanting another MS into that socket, he'd regain it. It's basically the same as replacing a MS blinded gradually. I know it doesn't fit with the part where he was covering it, but that's how I thought about it.

I like to picture madara and his brother just like itachi and sasuke (well, not exactly). So I find it a bit cruel to think of madara using his brother's corpse to make himself a servant and a healing machine. I like the idea, though. I've always found it interesting that zetsu had two halves, and many explanations were given. Maybe one of them came from an uchiha. long shot, if I think more about it. Anyway, I like this theory, regardless of whether it's true or not.

So I don't think jubi was the source of yang chakra, but it was the sosp's simultaneous yin and yang transformations combined that allowed him to use the complete izanagi (whatever that is). Also, izuna's corpse can't be a source of yang chakra, the life energy. I'm still not too comfortable with all these advanced terms, but I guess we'll see more of these later.

what you mean the capture killa bee thing? that could have happened to madara as well. he failed because killa bee substituted and his substitute was being burned by the amaterasu and sasuke stopped it. most substitutes that weve seen so far all just go poof when the get damaged or attacked. so for sasuke to believe that it was really killa bee is understandable.

i didnt mean that madara was going to make sasuke his slave, i meant that what if madara really wanted sasuke's eyes in the first place once he found out that itachi gave him powers with just a basic MS, i was thinking madara wanted his eyes to increase his sharingan further.

also sasuke is very useful to madara, why else is he keeping him around if he isnt? sasuke has a great deal of power and if thrown into this war he will kill many talented shinobi without mercy and show us his awesome EMS plus maybe a Greater Susano that can be used only with the EMS!!!!!! as long as he isnt thrown against naruto first, but rather maybe kankuro's army or whats left darui's army... he will kill everyone.

I'll admit I'm a bit biased when it comes to sasuke. I don't like him much.

lol, i know alot of people hate for some reason... after seeing him as a happy and loving child and then has his whole world flipped upside down in one night.. forced to hate the one person who meant the world to him(itachi), then after all the years of his training to avenge his clan, he is told his brother never stopped caring for him and always tried to protect him put him in a darker world of pain where he has to live with the fact that his brother that loved him to death died at sasukes feet because sasuke didnt know the truth and ended up killing him. he has a very troubling past, i dont understand why people hate him at all. if i had all that done to me like him, i would be feeling the same as him right now. shit, anyone who would have that happen to them wouldnt be forgiving, instead would walk that same path as sasuke.

lol i kinda got carried away again... but why dont u like sasuke?

i dont like when characters are named, or refered to as God (blasphemous) same thing goes for Bleach although these villians who claim to be or are claimed to be of a higher power are always brought back down to earth crashing choking on there own words

...kishi might be telling us of the gods being adored, revered and idolized by many, 4bdN...and not literally because of powers and invulnerability.
...mythologies in all culture show us mere mortals can kill gods, than those who witness such event refer to that mortal as a god himself.
...tribal groups around the world idolize trees, stones and what have we...

...then why not a peace-loving, powerful and religious so6p who defeated a juubi? just a personal opinion dude....

mainly because he's been a jerk throughout the series. caught his brother's revenge game, and then chose a pointless life in the darkness.

I don't hate him and I certainly understand how he feels, but what's wrong is wrong no matter why you chose that path. Plus, naruto's constant stalking got old after a while and made things worse. That's when I really felt sorry for him.

sasuke could had been threading the wrong path. the reason for which is not for us to blame him. emotions drove him to what you call wrong path...emotions are dictated by the heart more than the mind...and we should be glad sasuke got a heart a Naruto could and should touch.

...and we know sasuke is a genious....he uses his mind - fights, battles, jokes, plans, and saving a comrade. Naruto realizes this...and Naruto will clear sasuke's mind and lead him to the "right path" you want to say...and what that is?....is Naruto's stalking to bring sasuke back...is bringing him back to the right path you say --- the truth that lies in the end...no matter it got epic or eras old....it will be the best of the end...we shall see...

yeah its not right for what he is doing, but still its understandable why he wants to kill the elders at least, the rest of the village i dont support... hopefully he changes his mind before naruto fights him so noone needs to die over this hatred.
