I used to always stand by nagato and itachi being the strongest I always wished that they had stop taking orders from madara and teamed up on him and defeat him. (Though im not sure if itachi took orders from madara after the Uchiha Clan massacre). But, now I realize that Madara is stronger i mean he has the EMS and the rinnegan plus whatever other abilities he holds under his belt. But his best power is his power of manipulation as he can basically convince and sway almost any one into getting what he wants them to believe.

I'm in the exact same boat. I mean, Nagato and Itachi are really freakn strong shinobis..but if you compare them to Madara there's just no way they can be stronger than him. Just like you said, EMS and rinnegan. Plus, he is still alive..that alone is enough to say how powerful he is. There is a reason why he is still alive.

If Itachi was healthy I think he could have killed anyone in the Akatsuki organization.
Madara may have "EMS" and the Rinnegan but he is also well aged and physically weak.
Itachi and Nagato could easily defeat Madara if they fought.
Maybe if Madara was back in his prime with his EMS he would do damage.

Just like Danzo, he had several Sharingan but in the end I beleive his lack of youth and mobility was his downfall.

Is the Sharingan really stronger than the Rinnegan, or is Itachi just so good that eventhough nagato has got the Rinnegan, Itachi would win in a fight?!?!w

Madara of coarse because pain was listening to him. Pain was undefeated so you know Madara has to be bad to be living this long with a waterfall carved out of him and the first. This dude was a leader back in the day.

After that I say Pain because Itachi even though he is cool wouldn't stand up to pain. Why would Itachi follow someone if he could just beat them. Pain was the truth.
