to add what glocker said , now that sasuke has taken itachis eyes his MS is now eternal meaning they wont fade away his occular powers like the MS would

well we just hear about what the ems does and never seen it in actual action. i think it coud be possible if madara actaully got a hold of rinnegan after leaving the village and gave to negato

the more advanced the Sharingan the more advanced dojuitsu. Diffrent pattern as well, two tomoe, then three,then MS patern(depends on the person), and EMS patern changes again. Its still possible to loose your EMS, either that or Madra is kind of dumb when he didnt use it against the 4th.

well im sure madara has his ems still and the reason he doesnt have it activated always is probably because of the chakra drain or he just doesnt feel it necessary to activate it at the time.

I think he gets a way stronger Susanoo, there have been a few hints to that. Maybe the ability to extinguish Amaterasu (like Madara did), get all the person who's eyes you implanted's powers, ability to control the Nine Tails better than a Mangekyo Sharingan can, all regular Mangekyo Sharingan techniques, etc. dunno about the real boosts to power the Ems gives, we'll just have to wait and see.
