Question and discussion about batman arkham city

I dont know anything about batman, i never really liked the dc characters all that much but i played arkham asylum and i was pleasantly surprised with how great this game was. I first saw the trailer for arkham city a few days ago but, given my ignorance to dc characters, i dont know who the bat is facing this time. Could someone tell me who this is and possibly explain what he does

Shame on you. Everyone should like Batman
The Arkham Asylum was party so amazing (imo) that it had the original Batman tv cartoon series voice actors! And ofc our everyones favourite, Mark Hamill (Luke Skywalker) as The Joker and Kevin Conroy as Batman.

And what comes to the upcoming sequel, Arkham City...Mark Hamill has stated that this will be his last time as the voice of Joker. He will retire from being The Joker from there after. We will miss his voice U_U

Batman Arkham City will have The Joker and Harley Quinn as antagonists aswell Two Face, Penquin, Catwoman, Hugo Strange, Calendar Man, Victor Zsasz and the voice actors of Mr.Freeze and Talia al Gul mentioned that they will be playing their respective characters.
David Kaye, a voice actor familiar from Transformers revealed that he will be in the game but the character is yet to be told. So it will be very intense and awesome!
I'm not sure but they also mentioned that The Riddler is back aswell with his insane riddles and they play a bigger part this time.
There were some rumors that he will appear in the game this time but we shall see

Ofc as the persons who completed the previous game, they remember that at the ending video, Bane, Scarecrow or Killer Croc will burst to the surface of the water. So this basically means, someone of them will return

And this Youtube video of yours doesen't go nowhere. Give me a new link of the character and I'll tell you everything you want of him/her

Thank you alot. It is real sad that the voice of the joker will be retiring, that's a shame. I believe the character i saw was the hugo strange man. I hope they make this game as carefully as they did the first, it'd be really amazing

He was a true jewel all the way from the good old Animated tv series. But he will be in this game though and that's a good thing
Yeah it propably was, if you can find the video again, give me the link and I'll check it out ^^
I'm pretty sure they're making this game with patience as they did the first one. There's alot of new improvements and it sounds really promising when I wred some of the things the developers have revealed about the actual gameplay.

I hope Hush is in this game

There hasn't been any information about that. He was a collectible biography on Arkham Asylum though But yeah, the truth is that there is going to be quite a few badguys already on the prequel.
But we shall see.

They have made alot of new cool improvements and left some of the original.
All of the gadgets and toys previously obtained in the first game will be present at the start of Arkham City, some have some improved, new capabilities. And I think at least two new gadgets have been revealed: smoke bombs which Batman can use and sneak away in the confusion, and this broadcast tracer (i think it was) to locate signals and track them.

The game also has more puzzle elements. The use of Batman's Detective Mode which highlights things such as enemy skeletons and clues on the screen. And now this is used to perform forensic analysis at crime scenes, such as tracing the origin of a sniper round. Kinda like on the original version.
I read something about that players can now access to a criminal database that tracks the major badguys across the city that is used within Detective Mode and on some puzzles.

One thing was really a good improvement. The art director said that the Detective Mode's use will be changed alot since alot of players completed the 1st game mainly using the mode all the time. And I have to agree to that with personal experience ^^

And what comes to the Riddler Challenges...they are also be present, but they will require additional effort to locate these ,something like, through interrogation of Riddler's thugs.

There's so much new that they haven't even stated and I will defenetly get this game.
Not sure how reliable this info is but I've seen interviews and so I bet these are quite correct.

Totally and it sounds quite great.
I just hope they add more things to do outside the story line to extend the gameplay. I mean sure, make the story long as the first one (very, VERY RARE) but add something else to do aswell so that people get distracted and don't finish the main gameplay so fast
Something like the predator challenges on the 1st one, those were pretty fun and challenging.

And prehaps they could add some sort of co-operative gameplay to it. There were some discussion about it but the Rocksteady couldn't say was it going to be possible to play the main campaign with your friend, wich imo should be in there! There are WAY too many games that are only Singleplayers and the only co-op you find is web-based and I can't agree that being the best option. I love playing with friends and it's really sad that there are so few good Co-op games out there.
But it is confirmed that there is some kind of multiplayer features on this game and let's keep up the good hopes for local co-op gamemod
