An Overview of the Game Series:
Probably the ultimate RP Game that ever set foot on NarutoBase, Death Note RPG, maintained and manned by the technical genius himself, Gamahiro! The frog who thinks he is a ninja turtle! –Eyy? Ahehe, rather the frog who loves turtles!

Most of you must have lurked around the Death Note RPG thread in the Fan Clubs Section and leave confused and puzzled. Well, I have enjoyed the game so much that I would like to share it to everybody around the base. And hopefully, to make it easier for you to understand the game, I have it written into scripts or a FanFiction as we call it. This way, you wouldn't have to drag a game thread up and down just to get the hang of it.

Note:

This First Series is like a supplementary guide of the game to give you an overview on how it is done. As per observation, per game would most likley last for 1 hour (5 players), 2 hours (7 players), and 3 hours (9 players). No training needed. Nor do you need to watch the entire series of the Death Note anime/manga. All it takes are your thinking abilities.

If I will be able to come across with a really good game in the future though then, I will mold it into a real FanFiction Story. Which means, more NB Death Note Series. And you starring the episode!

NB Death Note RPG Series 001: Team Turtles Part I

Narrator:Beyond the boundaries of NarutoBase, from the luscious mountains of Mt. Myubokozan, Gama “Gambi” Hiro croaks in boredom as he oversees the citizens of NB wobble lazily around the site, doing nothing. Swooning there, sighing here. The only people that seemed to show much activity are the Shinobis.

Gambi: (In his thoughts) Ah, *sigh* not everyone are into that shinobi business. Hmm, I must come up with something to shake up the rest to have fun and be cheery.

Gambi then stared down to his computer, mouth curved downwards, his yellow eyes dreary drown down, while beneath his head, covered with soft blue skin (not warth'ed like that of the frogsxd), his brilliant brain started formulating a new game.

Gambi: (Thinking, his mouth still curved downward) Hmm…Death Note would be interesting! Hehehe! *laughs by hiself but his mouth is still curved downward, and then continues to think and started drafting the game.*

Gama Hiro’s draft:

To join the game:

1. Game Master will post in the game thread: NEW GAME in 1 hour (or whatever).
2. An interested player will post a reply expressing their intent to join. Say, “I would like to join”, “Count me in”, and the like.

Game Rule Draft:

- The game starts off though with everyone treated as police officers. But before it starts, the Game Master secretly assigns each player’s “True” Role: Police Officer, Kira, Shinigami.
- One or more of them will be disguised as Kira and the Shinigami, depending on the number of players that joined.
- For Kira to move about, there should be Night time and Day Time.
- Everyday, one of the players gets killed by Kira.
- Kira’s killings will be done when Night Time falls.
- The Kira will send a PM to the GM as to who to kill.
- The Shinigami will also have the privilege to look into one’s “true” role during the Night Time.

Game Objective: Find out who amongst them is Kira by talking within the thread during Day time. The players and the Shinigami should find out who Kira is and agree via voting. Kira should be able to hide his identity and misguide the others to vote for a different person.

Kira’s Execution: Lynching at the end of the day by voting who to lynch. Whoever has the most number of votes will be executed as Kira. If the majority voted for the wrong person, the game continues until they are able to find the one who truly holds the Death Note (Kira).

Gambi: Ah, that should be it. I will now have to write the details of the rules together with some strategies that everyone can use. I should call Lawliet to help me more with this.

*ring! Ring!

Lawliet: *picks up the phone* Ah!

Gambi: Ribbit! Hey! I need your help with this new game I have in mind. Will you help me?

Lawliet: Sure! Tell me about it when you’re done with the details.

Gambi: Okay, thanks!

Narrator: And his smile is downwards, too.xd Writing down the details and finishing them all up, the Death Note Game is now complete and ready for testing. And so the call began.

[Note: I’m not really sure about the story behind the ownership of Gama and Lawliet so, if I would need to be corrected, I will do the necessary corrections as this is only my speculations.]

Narrator:Now that you have an overview of how the game would run, let me bring you to the game stand. Played last January 23,2011 this game is composed of the following NB People.

DAY1: Rookies on the loose!

Narrator: *whispers to the audience* The Game Master is a rookie, too! Teheheh...xd

Game Master: (*to Narrator* I heard you.U_U)
Somewhere in Melbourne, a remote city in NarutoBase, Nikkou Arashi, Chief of Police called for the NB Special Task force for help. For months now, the city has been experiencing mysterious deaths almost every night and the local Police have agreed that it must be the doings of Kira. Immediately, Commissioner General Zise, direct commander general for the NB Special Task Force sent Team Turtles to resolve the mystery.

The team is newly formed and most of the members are new. Zise though still have faith in them as he knows that every citizen of NB are brilliant in each of their little ways. The team traveled from the main city down to Melbourne. However, an unknown and mysterious Face-off took place between the Team Turtles and the Kira/s.

As to how many Kiras there are, nobody really knows.

The following NB Special Task Force Officers are now gathered in the common hall of their quarters trying to discuss the situation.

Team Turtles Composition:

Game Master’s Notes: It’s arrival and wrap up. You can TALK in the next 10 minutes.

Capt. Gama: Alright men, as team captain I order you to make me food, do my laundry and clean my pistol....on the double!

Lt. Mei: So how is everyone?

Capt. Gama: * puts on glasses while reading the reports* That's better. Couldn't see anything. Where's my food dammit?!?

Lt. KC: I'm Vice-Captain, not a servant!

Lt. DC: Ahh, finally some rest. *Stretches his legs across the sofa*

Narrator: Everyone did not actually seem like discussing the matter or either avoiding it so as not to be detected what their identity really are. Little did they know though that Kira is already spotting who amongst them he/they would kill first.

Capt. Gama: Alright men. Get a good night’s sleep tonight. Tomorrow we start our investigation. Let's finish in 2 days.

Lt. DC: I doubt that will happen, been going to sleep at midnight playing tribes 2! Ehehe!

Narrator: Stunned by Lt. DC’s dismissal of his order, Capt. Gama Disconnected the modem, and kept the cables to his pockets.

Capt. Gama: There. Now get some sleep tonight.

Lt. DC: *groans in disappointment and goes upstairs to his quarters.

Game Master: Night time fell deep into the city of Melbourne and Team Turtles went to sleep as ordered by the captain.

Game Master’s Notes: NIGHT TIME PHASE…NO MORE TALKING!

Narrator: From behind the scenes, while Team Turtles lay asleep in the night, Kira moved about and killed one of them. Choosing who amongst the officers would possibly be able to decode his identity and convince everyone to vote for him/them, he/they silently took one victim out.

On the other hand, the Shinigami moved about to check an officer’s true identity and examines his mind, heart, and soul to measure the pureness of his/her intent.

[Supplementary note: This is the part where the player assigned as Kira sends a PM to the GM as to who to kill. The Shinigami will also send the GM a PM as to who’s amongst the player would he want to know what their true identity is.]

Lt. Elton: Here's ya food Gamahiro-sama ... LOL! No one’s here already!xd

Lt. Fallen: *Facepalm* Stupid Kira. If it isn't for Kira, I will be in my bed right now. *leaves for bed*:|

Narrator: (from behind the screen) *Double Facepalm* Argh! Stupid players, no talking it says! Grrr! [No talking during Night Time Phase]

Mei (on MSN): Shut up, narrator! Keep the story going, you’re really slow!

Narrator: What the F---?!:|End of Chapter 2, then!U_U

DAY 2: A day to remember.

Narrator: Waiting for the Game Master's news, the players anxiously wait for the Day Time Phase and see who the Kira/s have killed.

Game Master: Night time passed and the sun shone down the windows of the NB Task Force's headquarters. The Team Captain, does a roll call. Everyone replied except for Kingscorp!

Capt. Gama: WTF! LT. KC KINGSCORP! Get your ass down here! *He exclaimed, but there was no reply*

Capt. Gama gulped in terror 'Did Kira get him?' he said to himself. A streak of fear ran across his face.

Capt. Gama: Damn it! *He immediately rushed upstairs to Kingscorp's room and everyone followed.

And there they behold, the room was full of what looked like ground meat! Blood was everywhere and all they could see were remains of Kingscorps' clothings and his Task Force Tag.

Game Master’s Notes: DAY TIME PHASE STARTS – START TALKING

Lt. Amy: *innocently looks around like nothing has happened.* Oh, where did KC go? Is he dead or did he go to the butchers and left his dinner lying around?

Lt. DC: *drops his knees by the door and raises his hand shaking* Nooo KC! Who would kill you?!

Lt. Amy: *stares at Lt. DC’s reaction* Huh? Someone killed him? I wonder who? *and she began to worry*:S

Lt. DC: The butcher, I guess? *says with a face worth a facepalm*

Lt. Amy: Well, it wouldn’t have been you right? :s

Capt. Gama: ugh...just great. Wonderful. I lose 1 man and I'm already shorthanded as it is.:|

Lt. Mei: *to Lt. Amy* Ugh! You’re a rookie, right?

Lt. Amy: Yeah, and I’m a little lost as to what is really going on.

Lt. Mei: *facepalm* Duh-uh!

Capt. Gama: *ignores Amy and Mei and looks at DC* You! You were all so anxious to get started back in the base. You have been very impatient. *raises his browse

[Supplementary notes: Gama is actually referring to DC’s impatience to the start the game.]

Narrator: From behind the scene, KC was ranting via MSN on getting killed first on the first day. And so he posts a reply even though it was forbidden for dead people to talk.xd

Kingscorp: (quotes Amystery) *cursing you from hell* Don't enjoy my death or I'll haunt you forever!

Lt. Amy: *hears dead people talking* I'm not enjoying your death I'm just wondering why you were mincemeat and not just a heartattack or something like writing a message before you die, it just seemed a bit gruesome.

Narrator: *faceplam* Ugh! Not again. [Dead people are not allowed to talk anymore.]

Lt. Mei: *bluntly expressing her thoughts* Argh! Shut up people! I think Capt. Gama Hiro here is Kira!

Narrator: As everyone pauses to think about what Lt. Mei have just said, Lt. DC, who was stunned awhile ago with Lt. Amy’s accusations on him being the one who killed Lt. KC, finally spoke up with an EMO.

Lt. DC: *to Lt. Amy* Will my reply even affect your opinion? If I say yes, you’ll kill me, if I say no,you’ull still kill me...well, just for the heck of it, I’ll answer your question... NO!

Lt. Amy: *thinks of what Capt. Gama just said about DC* Ah, but you were just so anxious and very impatient to start back at the base.

Game Master: While the team started pushing around who Kira is, Nikkou Arashi, Chief of Melbourne Police came rushing in as soon as she heard the news of Lt. KC Kingscorp’s death.

Parking her Cheverolet outside the Task Force's quarters, she was terror-stricken as an eerie person, floating from Kingscorps' window down to her appeared in her presence. The man wore a draped white kimono and helds a sword in his hand. The wind blew off the long hair that covers his face and Nikkou beholds person that she knows.

Nikkou: L-lt. KC Kingscorp?

Lt. KC: Yes, ma'am. I am a shinigami sent to guide these police officers but I have been eliminated. I am counting on them now, as I leave.
And he dispersed into the wind while the rest of the team, alarmed with what's happening outside, saw the entire scene.

Game Master’s Note: CONTINUE TALKING

Narrator: *to audience* Ghehehe, the GM actually forgot to reveal Kingscorp’s identity that’s why there was the additional scene.xd

Game Master:

Narrator: Back inside, the rest continued their discussion. The Shinigami, their hope for solving the mystery have just been eliminated.

Lt. DC: Ugh! I have really been impatient ever before. Haven’t you checked my records?

[Supplementaty Note: Original Phrase was actually “Didn't u find out from the first game that I’m impatient, Gama?” – He needs to defend himself or else everyone will vote for him.]

Capt. Gama: Well, that’s just wonderful. O.K. that changes everything.

Lt. DC: Yes!...Oh, wait! That was sarcasm, wasn’t it?

Lt. Amy: *in reply to DC’s denial of her accusations* okay then, should we believe you?... hmmm.. *in her thoughts*(do we kill who we think is Kira then :s )

Narrator: Lt. Amy seemed convinced that Lt. DC is the Kira but still has no idea what to do. While Lt. Elton, late to react as ever finally spoke out. And DC seemed to have misinterpreted Capt. Gama’s words.

Lt. Elton: Okay, I’m totally freaked out.

Lt. Mei: *impatient* Oh, when do we start the voting?

Narrator: Still lost within the rubbles, Lt. Amy started bombarding everyone with questions.

Lt. Amy: Hey, narrator, did the GM mean that Kira killed the shinigami? *unable to get answers* Uh, why are you freaking out, Elton?

Narrator: And everyone just ignored her.*sigh* Capt. Gama on the other hand reviewed what everyone was doing and have seemed to come up with an observation.

Capt. Gama: So Lt. KC Kingscorp was the shinigami. *thinks* Hmm, what did he said as he died…Aha! look at that! I think he said who was Kira. Look at who he replied to....AMystery

Game Master: As the officers argue who killed Kingscorp, Nikkou interrupts their wobbles.

Nikkou: So! What's your decision? I need an answer right now?!

Game Master’s Note: VOTING STARTS

Narrator: Everyone anxiously refreshes the thread and checks for their votes. Who will be lynched first? What will make this day a day to remember?

Cya! I only plan to include three chapters per Part of the Series so, sit back and wait for Part II, okay? It won't be long, I promise. It just actually took me like 6 hours to do this up to Chapter 4 so, I'll do 5 and 6 first and post right away.

I don't have plans of prolonging this as I want all to witness the entire game as soon as possible and join the fun! See you then! And stay tuned!

It's a great fun little idea to make the games into a story. I love it. Some of the banter that goes on in those games will make for more good reading.

I actually had the idea just a few days ago to do this with the Naruto RP battles. Does anyone do that?

On to the second C of C&C. I think you should write about the setting more. Get the reader's imagination into the squad room with some description. Also, set the mood, give description on what you think our faces or tone of voice would be while saying it. Make the game more real for the people that didn't participate. It's a sort of Film Noir Manga/game, and you can bring that out. You may even draw some people in that haven't read Death Note that way.

Ahehehe, thanks much. I just did as some sort of a run through though. Tried to actually make it shorter as I was just aiming to display how the game comes up. I haven't even made up my mind properly yet about the exact "role" of the narrator. That is, the tone of its description.

Visualizing the facial expression - that would really be great but, I think I'll be lazy to do that.xd

I was thinking of doing the Akatsuki RP that ZeroG did but, I haven't gotten any reply from him when I asked for his permission.

Hey, how about you do one of the games, too? We'll just number the Series as 001, 002, 003..etc..if you are in it, here's how I do the parts:

NB Death Note Series #: Team Name Part #
And each part will have 3 Chapters each.
This also means that the GM or the players will decide what their team name is...or maybe more like a Squad or Division Number.(Squad 101, 7th Division, etc)

So my next release will actually be named: NB Death Note Series 001: Team Turtles Part 2 (It will have 4, 5, 6 though, I am hoping to end it with 5 so that it wouldn't be really long for the readers to read.)
