I kinda liked this chapter.. Bcauz I was just beginning to think that majority of the swords were just your average weapons..
And I think that after hearing that guy talk about becoming the next leader of the 7SM, atleast we know if he stays alive there's a chance we may see him fight in the future.. And I'm sure he'll be alot stronger then he is now..
And someone mentioned kakashi hiding away looking at the situation... Well I would have to agree with that thought, we've seen kakashi do that alot, and I think that he's probably using that little electric clone thing he used against pain if he went in for the first attack.... i gotta strongly disagree, sakura is definetly more useful than ino, ino has a mind transfer power but it comes with too many risks 1. she could miss and just be sitting there for hours. 2. she takes the damage the the others inflict to the body she takes over... also she has a second rate healing jutsu thats still alright. now on to sakura 1. she has trained under tsunade, the best of all medical ninjutsu users which gives sakura a greater understanding of secret healing techniques and also she has a great knowledge over the herbs she may need and may not need. 2. sakura has a extremely great control over her chakra. 3. she also trained from tsunade to gain control of her power and be able to use the great brute strength like tsunade making far more valuable than ino. 4. she also has lost her "cry and hide behind naruto and sasuke routine" and is now putting herself at risk as they had done for her before making her much more self effecient.
as for you asking what has she done that was useful, she defeated sasori and alot of his puppets with her brute strength, also she saved kankuro when he was poisoned by sasori and even the great lady chiyo couldnt figure out the poisons's antidote. she and yamato stopped naruto in his tailed beast form, and also is starting to warm up to naruto by encouraging him that he can do what he puts his mind to, basically we have all seen naruto getting upset and then surprise guess who's there to make him feel better when iruka aint around. she definetly has grown into a better character and she has made it so that she essential to the kakashi groups success.
He will surpass the raikage too? I don't think so. Sasuke couldn't beat eight tailed killer bee alone. he could have killed in that battle if karin didn't heal him. I consider Yondaime Raikage is the stronger enough to crush sasuke even he used sussano and used amerstau on him and at yet he used dropped leg on him, he could have been killed fortunately gaara stopped him. Sasuke cearly underestimating Raikage.
LOL, i think youre forgeting that sasuke had the rib cage of the susano and which that alone was no where close to the power of the one he used against danzo. yeah its true that he almost lost to killa bee, but then again he did beat him single handed with a technique he didnt want to use on him from the start because he thought it would kill killa bee, but after left with no other option he used it to save his team... so in a way if he had gone there to kill him he would have succeeded from the start, it was only that he tried to capture killa bee that got him messed up like that. but back to the raikage, he really is stronger than almost anyone we have seen, but his power still lacks to sage mode, and further more falls in comparison to sasukes susano that he had when he fought danzo.. raikage would have died if he fought sasuke when he had that, danzo would have died like what? 15 times over due to sasukes susano?

sasuke didnt ask for the technique, he was just taught it by kakashi because he thought it would give a chance at power but hopeing it would counter act his need for revenge. sasuke went to get training from orochimaru, but orochimaru most likely only taught him how to use a sword and helped him increase his speed and other techniques to make stronger. orochimaru never was seen teaching sasuke how to use hhis chidori, therfore meaning sasuke manipultaed it by himself. on top of that he had the kirin, chidori stream, chidori spear, chidori razor spear, chidori blade and most likely more than that. sasuke is a genius just like his brother itachi, he masters his techniques by himself for instance susano, amatersu, chidori (after originally being learning the basic attack when he was a kid) . he is a quick learner and is definetly surpassed kakashi's chidori techniques.

As for the chapter itself, I may have said this previously, but the entire arc absolutely terrifies me. The sheer amount of killing is horrifying - I know it's war, and I know these things happen, but the strength of Naruto as a manga has always been its devotion to character development, and here we see character after character just being butchered. While Kakashi's keeping his head and being very clever about how to gain the upper hand, he's going to have to do so quickly, or else his entire army will be decimated.
1. i believe shikamaru has the genius and wits to corner kabuto with kage mane jutsu. kabuto won't be a sly fox in shikamaru's sights.
2. tsunade has the tech to impair kabuto's chakra points. this way, kabuto would not be able to "regenerate"
3. with shikamaru immobilizing kabuto in every part of the body -- even that snake of a tail not to move a scale --, tsunade will do her thing which i believe will be our first time to see in the manga... a badass jutsu which is anti-regenerative. this is so possible. just by the thought that tsunade has katsuyo --- what is its opposite jutsu then?
4. tsunade will "punch" the hell out of kabuto that the serpent be reduced to dust and all --- to the last scale.
...others would say...this is tall tale. indeed, given the chance kabuto and shikamaru meets in the battlefield, we will know what i mean...

but first, i also believe that when sasuke met bee the first time, sasuke understimated bee's skills - especially with the swords. bee could very well beat sasuke then. but sasuke, with the intention to beat bee then, is short of saying Naruto could beat raikage. yes, sasuke had the tools to beat bee during their first fight.
killer bee will play with the summoned 7SM. it is unfortunate that we won't see this chance. 7SM zombies are kakashi's fight now...and we will enjoy it.

how about kakashi carried out the first step in shadow converging...then ensui completing the kage mane bind with maki. look again in that frame. one slight move from kakashi - will have a touchdown with zabuza's shadow. kakashi's initial plan to take out the mist will be a success. without the mist, all the other will flutter like butterflies evading nara clan's kage mane.
to develop the characters, i read once - i can't remember the reference -, a writer needs to destroy some. a good example is kabuto.
hell yeah, this is war time. and we are reading it. kakashi's division is exactly letting us see what a war looks like -- gory and morbid. there is no space for twitches, nor rooms for subconcious. but i sometimes forget as well that we are in a manga world.

Ya Sakura is like the most useless character, at the start of Shippuuden I thought that Kishi will show her as a strong character but she isn't really a ninja she is a medical ninja in other words a doctor.
there's a thing i want to ask you all...mangetsu used the scroll to summon the swords but he didn't managed to summon samehada and hiramekarei...why? even zabuza got his sword back....
Samehada and hiramekarei are being used by their current legitimate users, i.e.- Chojuro and Killerbee(samehada willingly accepted killerbee as it's master), on the other hand zabuza's great beheader had no clear master( suigetsu did not get it in the proper way he just picked it up).
thats why mangetsu who had control on those swords previously summed all of them excepy those 2.
As the debate goes on about 7 SSM there is one point i'd like to point out :- they all were insanely strong for eg:- just one of them Kisame thrashed the shit out of killerbee even when the fight was a setup not a life-death option. ( the time when kisame infiltrated Kumogakure)
All of them were dangerously powerful in a different way, as there has been a lot of mentioning of them in the series and we got to know more of them.
What's the point of introducing the last generation of seven swordsmen, really? We are all in the picture that they were strong, and had different swords. Why make this 10 chapter explanation which has no connection to the story at all.
Of course, guessing out random facts only to prolong the story is a good way to make money, but this chapter cannot be called good and informative.

i agree with you saying naruto is stronger, but even if naruto had his sage 5 minutes of sage mode vs sasuke(susano mode) he would lose, his reseng-shuriken wouldnt even hit sasuke because of the susano's shield, secondly naruto would just tire himself out constantly avoiding sasukes attacks, plus we all saw that sasuke can control the susano for over 5 minutes, remember when he fought danzo? it lasted i think it was up to ten minutes before he went in for the kill to finish danzo. the fight will be interesting to see them go at it, of course naruto will win though regardless of how bad, the odds are in his favor always.
Sage mode 5 minutes < susano 10 minutes, unstoppable defense as well.
they both have come a long way, but yes naruto is stronger because of sage mode, while sasuke wouldnt be able to counter naruto speed and power plus that attack that he used on the pain that ran at him where he swung and missed but it smashed its head in anyways... as strong and as far as naruto has come, if sasuke activates the susano, naruto wont be able to touch him at all. but then again naruto could risk letting the fox nearly take over again like he did against pain, sprouting the 8th tail it may be enough to force sasuke to use all his chakra defending from 1 ultra powered blast, or it could just knock him back like it did for itachi vs orochimaru's eight tailed serpent.
there should have been more info, what we got was way too little. now next week will be half about what they can do and what may happen with kakashi's group... to avoid wasteing more time on them next week i hope they just show more of the fighting, if they wanted to give more background to each of them it should have been done in this weeks chapter..
Ugh..... I liked it..... but I head-desked once Haku stepped in. I mean Really! They were already brought back by the power of the dragon balls, and now they are just repeating this scene again! Kabuto's Becoming an Over-powered little bitch if you ask me... >.>
hopefully we get to see kabuto die soon, i really dont want to watch countless anime episodes or read countless manga chapters of him bringing back a platoon or more of great ninja, it was cool to see the 1st and 2nd hokages brought back but this is just getting old, we already know soon enough we'll see asuma and 2 others attacking a different group... i bet it'll be interfereing with gaara's group from helping kakashi's group. if we are going to see anyone else brought back and fighting again i want to see the dead akatsuki memebers again, mainly itachi and nagato.
