[Discussion] How did Madara Survive? What do you think?

I was wondering if, how did madara survive?After all these years. If he lived at the time when konoha was being founded, He should be dead right now. If you have some theory about this please comment.

i think it would have something to do with the time/space jutsu he may have somehow learned a way to get around time/ageing when he awakened the EMS i think that it may be one of its powers possibly or it somehow causes time to have no effect on him ...just a theory

I think every1 here is overthinking things, Sharingan, i think Sharingan helped him:-develop a jutsu for prolonging his life(not make him younger cuz if u noticed he has an old face)
-use Sharingan once in a while somehow to rejuvenate....etc. just my opinion

I personally think when we saw Madara's face, it's not old wrinkly but burnt. Obviously it's hard to tell because it was extremely dark (in the anime) but i think his face was burn't to hell or something, i mean we've seen a few ugly characters, why would madara need to hide his face if he's just OLD?

That certainly seems reasonible. Orochimaru may have learned about such a thing because of Madara's research and he then created his own way of doing it.

From what we have seen...the body that Madara's using is kinda replacable....I mean his arm didn't even bleed after getting hit by a rasengan...I think Zetsu is the key here...

Yeah, likewise, I think zetsu plays a very important role here. I don't know what chapter but, i kinda read, Madara saying zetsu is very important to his plans. I don't know what zetsu got to do with Madara though.

well in the fight with kohan he lost a arm and he got it back by using some strange technique. I think this is how he is living so long he is just replacing organs. I do think zetsu is the key to this technique though. Zetsu i think will begin to become more and more important in the next chapters depending on who he sides with kabuto or madara. I say kabuto as a option because kabuto has tampered with the zetsu's and maybe gained control of them.

Dunno really, youve got to ask Kishi himself unless he plans to spill the beans on Madara's immortality himself...

Why is eveyone looking so far forthe answer? Madara gave us that answer already.

*Note The Eyes are mentioned separate from the spiritual Energy which could meen they don't have to go together, hence the reason Madara could just change his eye's.*

Madara also explained to us the workings of Izanagi where yin chakra (Spiritual Energy) creates a form while yang chakra (life Energy) breathes life into it. This is how Madara said the sage created.

Now this explination of Izanagi should tell us a little of how Madara was able to survive. Madara claimed to be born with the greatest strongest chakra the Uchiha had ever seen.

Lets put it together now:

The uchiha was gifted with The sage's SPIRITUAL ENERGY and eyes.

Madara was said to be born with the greatest Strongest chakra known to the Uchiha. Therefore his spiritual Energy would be the greates among them.

From Izanagi we know Spiritual Energy provides form and Physical energy Gives Life. Every human consists of a balance of both Physical and spiritual energy, ninja use this balance to form chakra.

Now for the conclusion - Madara's Spiritual Energy (Form) was so great that Hashirama succeeded in killing Madara's Life energy But his Spirtual energy still clung to what little life he had left. The DNA he stole from Hashirama.

MADARA SAID IT HIMSELF HE IS A SHELL OF HIS FORMER SELF........ which means his form is here living through another life force. - THE ZETSU WICH HE USED HASHIRAMA TO MAKE.

Hmm.. I see, the mysterious technique that kept madara alive is Izanagi right? But my guess about zetsu was right. He's very important to madara. Its clear now.
