the fourth was good. with that being said madara was no fool to try to control an opponent that he couldn't. one can argue that it was because he was already controlling the fox. but i think that it was because he couldn't do it. you all remember that there was war going on at that time. and the uchiha massacre had not taken place yet. so minato might have learnt or known how to combat the sharingan. he was also very good with sealing techniques and this is confirmed when he was able to seal madara's control over the fox. i wouldn't be surprised if he could seal the use of the sharingan. we all know that the uzumaki's were feared because of their sealing techniques and he was taught by one of their great fighters and that is his wife.

he didn't only thought of delaying him but also fighting him seriously. it's just that he messed up. remember he said that he had been waiting for a long time for that opportunity when kushina was about to give birth. and also he said that the fourth was constantly protecting her. in my view, he couldn't take on the fourth directly and that's why he was owned by the fourth.

I think, even if Minato knew that the person was Madara...Madara himself probably didnt think that Minato mightve figured this out...do, probably Madara wanted to keep his identity a secret from Minato just in case the latter somehow lived to tell the tale...But Minato, being the coolest shinobi there is apparently figured out Madara's identity...
This is why I think Madara mustve refrained from using the sharingan...plus Minato was the Hokage...the strongest one at that (IMO)...i do think he'd have tons of ways to tackle the sharingan...

Tobi could not risk such attack against Minato who just so happen to be a Hokage or has every one forgotten that. Minato was way to skilled and powerful for him to be trapped by genjutsu or something. Plus Madara dosen't seem to have his MS powers.I mean he could have just used the sharingan to mind trick like he did with the nine tails, right?
Also Minato was way to fast for Madara to use his sharingan for something else other than making himself intangible to save his own skin.

Actually, sharingan is sharingan and it works no matter how strong someone is......that being said, minato was MORE than skilled enough to fight madara without looking in his eyes. That leaves ametarasu.......the 4th was the yellow flash, nuff said and if ANYONE knew how to seal susanoo it was minato. Madara probably knew all this which is why he did'nt use ms on purpose.
Madara ain't got no MS other wise he would of used it by now. And as I said before the fourth was to strong and fast or madara to try his sharingan tech on him.
Lets say u posses MS tech and a dude hits u a rasengan in the back rips off one of your hands and takes your Kyuubi, but here the catch he is so faast and posses jutsu life threatening to you. WHAT WOULD YOU DO?
Minato could of totally sealed MAdara's soul away what did we learn Madara ain't F'in with the fourth.

Nobody said he's f'ckn with the 4th lol, but why do you say he does'nt have ms? Dude its pretty clearly said by itachi , madara either chooses not to use those techniques or his ms is different we don't know. Though i totally agree the 4th would own anyone....Lets say YOU go and re-read the manga because its pretty damn clear that madara awakened MS
Madara seems to like to use the least of his abilities in order to get the job done, i.e. he's efficient. Itachi never used his MS unless necessary, granted that was also to protect his eyes, so there's a confound. Further, if Madara had wanted to keep his identity under wraps, then using the EMS is a dead giveaway as to who he was. At that point only Madara had MS techniques. I don't know how successful he would have been with Tsukiyomi or Ameratsu given the fourth's speed and FTG. None of what I said proves Madara has his EMS, but not using his doujutsu doesn't equate to not having it.
Naturally, as all bad guys seem to do, he underestimated Minato's speed and FTG jutsu (he didn't know about level II). Madara thought it was over the first time he tried to warp Minato. Minato was really freakin' smart. He figured out the identity, Madara's combat style, and released the Kyuubi. The only person who will be able to do this much is Naruto (and maybe Sasuke) in the future, but he's not as smart as his dad (he's gotten help from his mom, dad, Pa toad, and Kakashi, which I think compensates), how many people that we've seen are?

Itachi wanted to scare sasuke by telling him Madara is a overlord with EMS so that he would take his eyes and want to kill madara by attaining EMS all in an attempt to protect sasuke. Madara said it himself that he is a mere shell of him former self, which mean sharingan without the perks for example MS & EMS. Madara hasn't even used as much as the Uchiha trade mark fire style. Well I don't know if now that he has rinnegan he will use his own jutsu or just spam the 7 paths. All in all madara sharingan is just that a sharingan not MS not EMS.
