I start off by sending a huge wave of sand straight towards you. Then I create a shadow clone, but you can't see it because the wave of sand blocks your view of me. Then, I travel underground, my clone stays above ground, and stay I down there for a while...

So you're saying that you can throw 10 kunai, make two lightning clones, turn yourself into a kunai, and then have your clone throw you into the sky before his sand hits you?

No you probably would not have enough time to evade that the way you are trying to.

You're saying that you could throw kunai, do two jutsu, then make your clone throw you into the air, before he even finishes his first jutsu.
