I like the idea.

But someone could simply create a - All info in one - thread.

Basically a thread with links to everything like how to make a bio, Battle Ranks, Jutsu list etc.

The only thing you need to fix is the Sensei aspect I agree they can be difficult to find so maybe a thread were all sensei's post the link to their Sign Up threads would be good.

Maybe have Rei edit the Sensei List but with a link next to the Sensei with the Sign up thread?

The only thing that frustrates me, and I mean no harm with this, is waiting/looking for sensei's. Of course, you can't expect people to do nothing else but train others on NB, but it would be nice to have something to do waiting for your sensei to train you.

Other than that, I think everything is pretty clear, maybe when you just got on the forum things seem overwhelming, but after a while you should be able to get used to it.

Lol, ironically, I made a suggestion quite like this a while ago (like, a year ago .-.) in the sensei group. I never had a chance to try and push it through (nor did I go very in depth with it since this was among several other suggestions), but it did, however, recieve positive feedback. Here it is, copied and pasted from the group:

Ok, this one may be a bit far-fetched, but perhaps we could try it and see how successful it is. Perhaps there should be an ninja academy to start off with. Many times there's students who COMPLETELY don't understand what exactly their doing, and for some senseis, myself included, it's many times difficult to explain. E.g. Some E-ranked jutsu for some reason are pretty difficult for me to explain, and in the beginning where every sensei should ask "What is fire (for instance)" it often requires a bit more explanation than I can think of lol. Perhaps there should be a sort of group of "experts" who completely understand all jutsu and can explain the nature of chakra and such to students. Note that this one was just off of the top of my head, didn't really plan that one out lol.

Basically, the idea was to pick up where senseis weren't. As though the training ground would be divided into two sections:

Where you learn the techniques (main forum)
Where you comprehend and understand the techniques (sub forum)

The segments of the Academy, divided into different threads for each element/type of jutsu, would each be run separately by that techniques respective expert(s). This would mean, for example, Kaito or Mugi or Liliana, for example, teaching taijutsu. Whereas Akiza may teach sharingan usage or something. Of course this would all be optional, and may even end up being more of a Q&A thread in interest of not going over every single jutsu even if the student already understands how it works. Hence, I would like to see this suggestion go through, but it'll mean a lot of work and for some reason I can honestly see it just dying out after a few weeks. =/

But I dunno about using the Academy as a headquaters as you sort of suggested. =/ I just wouldn't think that it would be the place for that. Maybe a revised version of Roku's history thread from a few months back to add a sort of fun aspect to it, but that should be about it in my opinion. Anything more would detract from the overall purpose.

i like the idea. i remember having to ask people for the links to everything, and how to do this and that. this would prolbly be able to solve that problem.

Sensei holding classes for basic principles was indeed the first thing that came in to mind. Setting up the academy as a headquarter is just part of the original concept, actually. Because I thought that it would be an additional workload for senseis to conduct basic classes aside from the hilarious training requests.

But, it is definitely a good idea to put in place while students wait to be trained in the training grounds for the higher rank jutsus. I firmly believe that the best way to learn is to understand the basic principle and concept behind anything that has come to be great because, a good foundation allows you to soar higher and remain strong.

If basic classes is too much a task to ask from a sensei, a sensei can probably assign his/her sempais or one of the top of his class to hold classes like these.

Or if the concept is about specialties, then perhaps a sensei can post a one time lecture thread where newbies can read and learn on their own while they wait to be taken to the training ground. As for Q&A, the sensei can then assign his/her sempais or one of his top students to attend to it or he/she can do so personally if time permits.

With that in place the newbies (inc me) might just find their selves posting relevant post replies rather than making ranting threads about getting a sensei or getting trained. (I mean no offense, please - as I might have done so, too if I haven't understood the current sensei-student number situation.)

They (newbies, inc me) might even find their selves making battle threads as sparring practice using the basic techniques they have. Practice battle threads where battle experts or senior members interfere and correct them instead of flaming them for their mistakes. Hmmn - I guess this too will drive away useless replies and turn everyone into helping one another to become strong and worthy opponents. And that - is just what the Narutoverse that we love is all about, right? :)

I think Nikkou has a great idea, I think what you should do is, write up a proposal and forward it to Nexus, he's the one who implements these kind of RP changes. It wouldn't hurt to have some sensei's on your side as well. If you need any help please let me know....
