Narutobase Academy: A Suggestion

Well, I have been thinking about this and I thought of bringing it out as a suggestion.

We have the battle arena and the training ground but we don't have an academy. I don't know how to bring this up in a very convincing way but here is what I think of what will be in the Narubase Academy (its going to be a subforum like the Narutobase Training Ground and the Narutobase Battle Arena).

The Narutobase Academy:

1. Will serve as a place for RP newbies to start with. We can even put up an enrollment thread where anyone who wants to be a shinobi posts a reply saying, I'm enrolling.

2. Will contain RP announcements like:
a. sensei application thread
b. threads for sensei accepting training application
c. tournaments
d. etc...

3. The following are already available in different places but as RP Starters, its kinda hard to locate them immediately. So, its going to be like double posting those in one place (NB Academy) where newbies can at least try to be informed as much as they need to be. really like a school/academy.
a. How to RP and all
b. How to create a bio
c. Rules in RP battles, etc.
d. An updated list of senseis and what they teach, specialize and all.
e. Battle Ranks.
f. How to become a sensei, a sempai, a medical nin, etc.
- senseis can even hold up a class for their students here, or set up a thread for training schedules...

4. A place to know who is who. Its always proper to know who we should pay respect to (including the senseis, of course) so, perhaps we can put in here as well
a. The list of NB's official sages (There's probably more lists of people that deserve respect and honor that I haven't seen yet.)
b. The Kages of the different Villages
c. The villages and their current situation (something like a history or world news/fact).
(I don't know though if b and c should be classified info but I guess even in RL we know who the presidents are in diff countries and what their relationship to each other is, right?)

Everything that needs to be learned in school. We can also include in here the history of Narutobase, the staffs, the mods, etc.

That's as far as I can think of. Its like a place to prepare everyone for RP-ing and to get to the base more. I know its quite a work load so if ever, I am willing to help in any way I can.

This may seem unnecessary for those who already know their way around the base but for the newbies - as far as I have experienced, even till now, I do feel the need for this place. It will also complete the entire RP System, I think. From the Academy - to the Training Grounds - and then to the Battle Arena.

Well, if you opened this thread and read with an open mind, I did say that we already have all those in each section. My aim is put them all together into one place. Rather than jumping from section to the other, I feel it would be better organized that way.

Good for you. That means you already know all your way around here. Well, good for you as you might have been an expert with RP Forums and stuffs. That means, I won't be seeing you around making inquiry/question threads related to RP or NB.

I did notice that you have the same answer here and there, too. Though, it was not me who brought that thing up. Unless you meant YOU in general - of which there is no point of using it as such because it was not a general idea but only of one person's.

The other villages' idea would indeed take a lot of work, I agree. But putting up the academy is just a matter of transferring or double posting those things into one place. Or maybe not an easy thing to do but at least thinking over a whole new process, rules, restrictions or whatsoever needs not be done anymore.

I say yes to this idea. I see this idea of yours as somewhat of a billboard stating what is what. Yes, it would take alot of work to assemble but for the greater good of the outcome I believe it would be worth it.

Some things in the RP section are scattered but I believe you learn alot by going to search for it and find your way through the forum yourself. It forces you to become active and associate with the veteran members of the forum.

I believe the stuff with senseis might cause more confusion.. Its hell enough trying to hold training sessions for 10+ students. I believe if newer members want to learn first hand they can start off with sparring matches with more experienced Rprs by VMing us etc.

Communication is the key to being active on this site and sometimes spoon feeding people what they want wont help.

I actually like the idea of helping those who are new. I think with this academy, is going to help them alot you know. Maybe for someone who knows well with the base, the RP especially, may found this unnecessary at all. Also, I dont know how this things going to work, but I can see you got some points. All the rules and some important stuff, they are scattered everywhere in the base. The bio rules is at the bio section, the training rules and sensei table are found in the Training section...but they all are not kept together which making the new one go confused and eventually lost.

I rather not worry about making something like this. Maybe if the new rpers quit being lazy and read the basic rules then things with go a cool.

It exists already. If you can't bother looking through the twenty or so sticky threads in the RP section that explain everything clearly, you're not going to make major waves in the RP anyway.
We don't need a separate subforum. It's not like there are a hundred scattered threads, they're all pretty clearly organized and labelled.

Well, this is a suggestion after all and I'm glad you shared your opinions about it. We all have different opinions, some have open minds, some closed. So I have nothing against those who opposed and I appreciate those who find it necessary.
