gaara's ultimate defence

hey people.
i was wondering whether gaara is still able to manipulate sand or not.in other words, his ability to bend sand and have it as an ultimate defense still exists? because as far as i recall, this ability of his was due to one-tail's power right?

He can of course still manipulate sand..
it just not as strong as use to be[i think] as the 1st tailed has been extracted from him
but i guess he still strong

I dont think the auto sand deffence came from the 1 tail dont you remember when Sasuke attacked the summit. Plus the tailed beast's just give them huge chakras as well as healing abillities.

his sand has something to do with his mother, not his tailed beast. he still has full control over the sand.

A) Yes Gaara can still use Sand.
B) I don't think it's weaker, I think it's stronger. Unlike many other Jinchuriki, Gaara was constantly having to battle his bijuu in order to maintain control. It was always in his head urging him one way or another, more so than the kyuubi is with naruto where it appears behind bars. For Gaara I think it's safe to assume there were no bars.

Now Gaara is free, he's not having to fight external opponents AND an internal one. so he is more focused.. additionally gaara can now sleep without turning into shukaku.

He was already kazekage when he lost the 1 tails.
