Ok, do you know what genjutsu is, how is it casted, what does it affect? Also, any clans are renowned for their genjutsus? What the genjutsu's greatest weakness? How does chakra act in a genjutsu?(I mean both yours and you opponents)

Genjutsu (Illusionary Techniques) requires like ninjutsu, both chakra and handseals, but the big difference between ninjutsu and genjutsu, is that genjutsu techniques are illusionary, meaning that no damage is done to the target. (A few genjutsu's are able to damage their target, like the Tsukuyomi.) Genjutsu is created by disturbing the flow of chakra, in the opponents brain, thereby also disturbing their five senses, this makes the user able, to create illusions that are so close to reality, that the target can both smell, see, hear, fell, and taste the Genjutsu. (Dunno why he would taste it, but i guess it's possible :D.) Genjutsu can be broken, either by using the genjutsu release "Kai", inflicting damage upon the target, (the damage will wake the target up) and Sharingan users can see through most genjutsu techniques.

i hope i didn't do it too bad :)

meh kinda naruto wiki-esque.

The greatest flaw in genjutsus are doujutsus, like you well said sharingan, but also byakugan and rinnegan are useful cause you can SEE chakra. In my opinion, genjutsu is cased by generating from your chakra a disruptive wave which affects the cranial nerves of the victim. There are 13-pairs of cranial nerves, for your next task, make sure to show me a list of all 13 pairs. xd

Sir... I am hurt that you think that i would copy paste anything, into a sacred training thread like this, i am mortally wounded U_U.

No seriously, the only thing i copy pasted from narutowiki was the Tsukuyomi, i simply couldn't spell it right.

*facepalms* Go look for them, copy, then paste them here. That's your task O.O
Sorry for the late reply school issues xd

anyways sorry for the other dumb reply, i guess i was a little bit tired...

here's the list, i found it on wikipedia.

# Name Sensory,
Motor
or Both Origin Nuclei Function

0 Cranial nerve zero (CN0 is not traditionally recognized.)[1] Sensory olfactory trigone, medial olfactory gyrus, and lamina terminalis

New research indicates CN0 may play a role in the detection of pheromones [2][3] Linked to olfactory system in human embryos[4]

I Olfactory nerve Purely Sensory Anterior olfactory nucleus Transmits the sense of smell; Located in olfactory foramina in the Cribriform plate of ethmoid

II Optic Nerve Purely Sensory Ganglion cells of retina[5] Transmits visual information to the brain; Located in optic canal

III Oculomotor nerve Mainly Motor Midbrain Oculomotor nucleus, Edinger-Westphal nucleus Innervates levator palpebrae superioris, superior rectus, medial rectus, inferior rectus, and inferior oblique, which collectively perform most eye movements; Also innervates m. sphincter pupillae. Located in superior orbital fissure

IV Trochlear nerve Mainly Motor Midbrain Trochlear nucleus Innervates the superior oblique muscle, which depresses, rotates laterally (around the optic axis), and intorts the eyeball; Located in superior orbital fissure

V Trigeminal nerve Both Sensory and Motor Pons Principal sensory trigeminal nucleus, Spinal trigeminal nucleus, Mesencephalic trigeminal nucleus, Trigeminal motor nucleus Receives sensation from the face and innervates the muscles of mastication; Located in superior orbital fissure (ophthalmic nerve - V1), foramen rotundum (maxillary nerve - V2), and foramen ovale (mandibular nerve - V3)

VI Abducens nerve Mainly Motor Posterior margin of Pons Abducens nucleus Innervates the lateral rectus, which abducts the eye; Located in superior orbital fissure

VII Facial nerve Both Sensory and Motor Pons (cerebellopontine angle) above olive Facial nucleus, Solitary nucleus, Superior salivary nucleus Provides motor innervation to the muscles of facial expression, posterior belly of the digastric muscle, and stapedius muscle, receives the special sense of taste from the anterior 2/3 of the tongue, and provides secretomotor innervation to the salivary glands (except parotid) and the lacrimal gland; Located and runs through internal acoustic canal to facial canal and exits at stylomastoid foramen

VIII Vestibulocochlear nerve (or auditory-vestibular nerve or statoacoustic nerve) Mostly sensory Lateral to CN VII (cerebellopontine angle) Vestibular nuclei, Cochlear nuclei Senses sound, rotation and gravity (essential for balance & movement). More specifically. the vestibular branch carries impulses for equilibrium and the cochlear branch carries impulses for hearing.; Located in internal acoustic canal

IX Glossopharyngeal nerve Both Sensory and Motor Medulla Nucleus ambiguus, Inferior salivary nucleus, Solitary nucleus Receives taste from the posterior 1/3 of the tongue, provides secretomotor innervation to the parotid gland, and provides motor innervation to the stylopharyngeus. Some sensation is also relayed to the brain from the palatine tonsils. Sensation is relayed to opposite thalamus and some hypothalamic nuclei. Located in jugular foramen

X Vagus nerve Both Sensory and Motor Posterolateral sulcus of Medulla Nucleus ambiguus, Dorsal motor vagal nucleus, Solitary nucleus Supplies branchiomotor innervation to most laryngeal and all pharyngeal muscles (except the stylopharyngeus, which is innervated by the glossopharyngeal); provides parasympathetic fibers to nearly all thoracic and abdominal viscera down to the splenic flexure; and receives the special sense of taste from the epiglottis. A major function: controls muscles for voice and resonance and the soft palate. Symptoms of damage: dysphagia (swallowing problems), velopharyngeal insufficiency. Located in jugular foramen

XI Accessory nerve (or cranial accessory nerve or spinal accessory nerve) Mainly Motor Cranial and Spinal Roots Nucleus ambiguus, Spinal accessory nucleus Controls sternocleidomastoid and trapezius muscles, overlaps with functions of the vagus. Examples of symptoms of damage: inability to shrug, weak head movement; Located in jugular foramen

XII Hypoglossal nerve Mainly Motor Medulla Hypoglossal nucleus Provides motor innervation to the muscles of the tongue (except for the palatoglossus, which is innervated by the vagus) and other glossal muscles. Important for swallowing (bolus formation) and speech articulation. Located in hypoglossal canal

This is really a list to be reckoned with...

Very well, genjutsu affects the cranial nerves, I hope this knowledge serves you well.

OK first genjutsu:

Genjutsu: Kokohin (Illusion Technique: False surrounding)

Rank: D
Type:Supplementary
Range:Short
Chakra Cost:10(+5 if you use it double)
Damage Points:N/A
Description: The user controls creates a false surrounding which can change the way an object or small area looks(if used double then its a layer of false surroundings not easy noticed by the enemy).

Simply concentrate your chakra and release in a wave that disrupts my clone's optic nerve and make him see a different surrounding than before. It can be anything you imagine but remember that if it TOO illogical the genjutsu may be easily spottable.

*I Focus my chakra, and takes a deep breath.

"My first genjutsu."

*I perform the handseal, and i reach out with my chakra, trying to disturb the chakra flow in your brain, i focus my chakra into your second cranial nerve, which controls the visual information sent to the brain, with my chakra, i try to make your visual center forget entirely about the tree, as if it was never there to begin with.

Very well, but...

*I rush you completely unexpected and before you may react due to the surprise. I strike you with a punch in the stomach.*

Make it on my clone!!

And it doesn't say a thing about handseals in naru wikia. Just lock eye contact and release the chakra. Make sure this time you make it my clone or there will be much more to worry about than a punch in the stomach. Oh, one thing. Now try to do it with the whole area.

*I crumble under the strength of the punch.

"What force i didn't even see you coming. Wery well but at least i did a good first try."

*spits some blood.

"Oh well, more pain = more hate, more hate = more sorrow, more sorrow = more pain, the perfect triangle.

*I focus my chakra again, this time i focus on your clone, and i don't perform any handseals, i reach out with my chakra, to disturb the stream of data coming from your second cranial nerve, i try to make it forget about the tree, erase the tree from it's vision, completely.

Now try to infuse further chakra and make an effect on the WHOLE area as I asked previously...-_-

(Well this is really going well :p, no seriously, i'll try to do better.)

*I focus my chakra, (again) and try to disturb the chakra flow in your clones brain, i focus (once more) on your clones second cranial nerve, trying to change the data stream about visual things, i try to change the data stream, to make the whole area change, to make some trees disappear, and to replace them with rocks.

much better, try to make better changes. BY adding a bit further of chakra you can actually add a second layer, so if they bypass the first illusion they'll fall into another.

Next jutsu:

Genjutsu: Kahen Tonsou (Illusion Technique: Flower Petal Escape)

Rank: D
Type:Supplementary
Range:Short
Chakra Cost:10
Damage Points:N/A
Description: The user vanishes in a whirlwind of sakura petals.

simply make my clone see you vanishing in a whirlwind of sakura petals while you're actually masking your presence by releasing a disruptive chakra wave affecting my sight, smell, and ears. Once you did my clone must not be able to see you. Then, you can actually run and punch him.

I focus my chakra, and reaches out for your clones mind, and tries to disturb the chakra flow in his brain, i focus my chakra in the 8th, 1st, and 2nd cranial nerves, changing the way your clone, sees, hears, and smells his surroundings, i add a little more chakra, just to be on the safe side. Now, i make the picture of Sakura petals, appear in your clones cisual cranial nerve, while i at the same time, makes sound, and smell of Sakura petals, appear to be present, then i slowly erase myself, from your clones sight, hearing, and smell, making it look like i'm slowly becoming one with the Sakuras. Once i've done this, i silently move behind your clone, and dashes forward, using Konoha senpu to smash him :D.

Amazing. SImply amazing. Just better punctuation and we're done.

*claps*

next genjutsu:

Genjutsu: Kasumi (Illusion Technique: Servant)

Rank: D
Type:Supplementary
Range:Short
Chakra Cost:10
Damage Points:20
Description: An illusionary servant that is really a paper bomb that once in range of the opponent will explode.

Simply make the disruptive chakra wave, to affect his sight, hearing and smell in order for him to see a servant which can look as you wish. Indeed, this servant does not exist, it only is distraction for you to throw a explosive tagged kunai at you opponent and he don't even see it coming.
