As far as i know,genjutsus are illusionary techniques,its the art of tricking the opponent,making him see,feel,hear,etc things that aren't happening.It works by the user sending their chakra at their target's brain,controlling their senses.
The genjutsus vary in porpuses,for example,to make the user see things that aren't happening,making them defend against nothing,even though in his brain,he thinks he is under attack.Other porpuse is actually to put the opponent to sleep just like kabuto did,getting rid of low-level ninjas easily.Most of the genjutsus are used as diversions,to hide what the user is really doing.Some others are used for interrogation,making the user feel extreme pain even though he isn't being impaled or anything.The user can also insert false memories into the opponent and then use another genjutsu to show him something about it,that causes the opponent emotional stress/pain.
High level techniques,like tsukyiomi,can even kill people,even though its an illusionary technique.KGs like sharingan make the user of genjutsu easier,being able to cast genjutsu by meeting their targerts eyes.

Alright, well usually you would do exercises before jutsu training, but since there really aren't any exercises that I can have you do to prepare for genjutsu, we'll just jump right into it.

Alright, well this basically uses the very foundation of genjutsu usage. Basically, you're inserting your chakra into my brain and using it to disrupt the flow of my chakra and alter what I am thinking. Think of it almost as if your chakra was an image or a thought, and your trying to transfer it into me. In the case of this jutsu, you can alter part of my surroundings, or rather how I percept part of my surroundings. Like that boulder over there. Try erasing it from my mind by inserting your chakra into it, to make my brain think that it is nonexistent.
I know that possibly made very little sense, but bear with me. o.o

Good ^^. Keep it up with explanations like that and this should go relatively quickly as long as I don't get super lazy... I mean busy (I usually make you do the jutsu several times before moving on, but this one is rather basic. That and I've made you wait long enough lol).

I'm not a hundred percent sure about the workings of this one, but it usually is done when a genjutsu acts on you. Basically, when appearing that you are trapped or if you actually are trapped in a genjutsu, you use this to disperse into petals. It kind of works like a very weak kai technique. Basically, your counteracting your opponents chakra which is in your brain, by transferring your chakra into theirs. At that point, you alter their chakra flow to make it seem as though you've disappeared.

~Assuming your clone is putting me in a genjutsu,i send chakra into your clone's brain while he is sending his at my brain.Then,i disrupt your clone's chakra flow and make him see that i disperse into petals when i am stading still in the same place without having moved an inch~

Yeah, this is a bit tricky, as it requires you to not only to free yourself from the genjutsu, but also to disrupt my clone's chakra. Think of it as focusing twice as much chakra. One dose to get your chakra back to normal, and the next to disrupt the opponent's chakra flow.
Side note: Btw, on a personal note, I would advise you to NEVER use this in battle. O_O Like, ever. I can just imagine what arguing and confusion a move like this would bring up.

Alright, so this is a bit more than just a genjutsu. It's a genjutsu mixed in with actions that you must do in the real world. First, focus chakra into my mind as you do with all genjutsu, and disrupt my chakra flow so that I see an illusionary, human servant. In the real world, you have to throw a kunai with an explosive tag on it to me. The trick is making it so that the servant and the paper bomb both reach me at the same time, if either one come toward me before the others, then I'll know that it's a genjutsu. So the timing of your throw has to be more or less spot on.

Eh, no more clones. Use all techniques on me.
*The servant appears, but when you throw the explosive kunai, I snap out of the genjutsu and see the kunai coming toward me clearly, and throw a kunai to deflect it before it gets too close*
That's the trick, you have to remember to keep the genjutsu going and keep disrupting my chakra flow even as you throw the explosive tag. Don't stop your chakra from running through my head after you've begun throwing the kunai. Try again.

The same concept as the last time for the most part. Just make a servant like you did last time, but this time just have it come toward me and attack me. If you wish, you can throw shuriken and kunai to make his attacks seem realistic. This should be relatively easy as you just did a very similar technique.

*The servant comes near me and begins to attack and, knowing that you are throwing kunai and shuriken at me, I use a kunai of my own to block each of his attacks, deflecting your kunai. I then deactivate the genjutsu*

For this one you're concentrating on making your opponent feel drowsy. Focus your chakra to make them in a state where they feel... hm... how should I say this... drunk/stoned. O_O And then you make them fall asleep.

Ok, I'm going to place a genjutsu on you, and you have to return your OWN chakra to its normal state. That means that you must focus on the chakra throughout your body, particularly your mind, and stabilize it. Think of it as you purging my chakra out of your body to make it run pure again.
