Aequitas can be seen usually in a robe also. He used to have a ponytail similair to Shikaku and Shikamaru but now wears his hair in a scruffy/messy style.
Personality
He is a focused and determined ninja. He has an IQ close to that of Shikamaru and usually he is quite sarcastic at pointing out others mistakes. Unlike Shikamaru Aequitas is more determined to become a high ranking Ninja and to prove himself to the whole village. Apart from that Aequitas' personality is basically the same as the rest of the Nara Clan and he is very laid back and lazy. Aequitas is one of the most loyal friends you will ever meet and one of the most inspiring personalities; He will encourage any person he meets to try and be the best they can be. He seems to have a natural talent to bring out the true intellect and ability in anyone he meets, although he does usually do this by causing an argument or various debates and on some occasions even causing fights between Ninja or challenging others to fight. When it comes down to the nitty gritty stuff Aequitas handles it like he has a mind and wisdom beyond his years. He has no preservation on sacrificing himself for the sake of his beliefs which are - Never: abandon your friends, give up, betray the village your friends or yourself.
Also Aequitas like Shikamaru is an expert in strategy due to their high intelligence. Aequitas in terms of strategy is usually thinking 5 moves at least ahead of his opponent. Both an expert in Deception & Strategy with the Nara Clan KG means Aequitas is no pushover and not one to underestimate

Aequitas was never really an expert close quarter fighter as he mainly works from Mid-Long range he's not completely ignorrant of Taijutsu and does have some ability to at least defend himself against a capable Taijutsu fighter.

Background Info
Part I
Invasion of Konoha Arc: His Mother died 3 and a half years ago during the Sand & Sound invasion, his Mother was killed by a Sand Ninja. From that day Aequitas has found it very difficult to be civil to any Sand Village Member the only 3 who he talks to or sympathizes with are Gaara,Temari and Kankuro as Aequitas is smart enough to see they were only involved due to peer pressure and fear. Gaara he doesnt understand but Naruto see's him as a loyal friend and a good person so Aequitas has no reason to doubt that. His Father has been looking after him since the Chuunin Exam and had to take on more missions to earn more money so he never really see's him and feels like he has lost both parents and this is why he loves his friends more than anything.
Search for Tsunade Arc: Aequitas during this time was grieving his Mother his father and him didnt do much during this time except a few missions and training.
Sasuke Retrieval Arc: Aequitas trained with Shikamaru a lot before he found out he became a Chuunin and until he left to retrieve Sasuke. It was during this training that Aequitas and Shikamaru learned Shadow Neck Bind. During the retrieval Aequitas like everyone else in the village was just waiting and anxious for the team to return.
Part II
Hidan & Kakuzu Arc: During this time Aequitas was still training with Shikamaru and Shikamaru and Aequitas learned various new jutsu during this training but after Asuma was killed the training stopped for a long time and so did playing Shogi & Go. Aequitas was always there for Shikamaru but he just needed time to grieve himself.
Aequitas after the attack on Konoha from Pein he decided to leave Konoha and his friends. He wishes to travel and become stronger than any Nara Clan member before him.
Hobbies
He likes to play Shogi with Shikamaru he manages to beat Shikamaru sometimes but generally they tie or he loses.
He regularly when Kakashi has time challenges him to a 1 on 1 "Bell Test." Aequitas knows this is a teamwork test, he figured that out when his Sensei gave his team the test and Aequitas helped them pass it by simplying formatting a strategy to acquire the Bell using every team members abilities in unison and for the first time in Genin history Aequitas' team aquired 1 Bell out of 2, but he believes he can achieve this feat alone and that he can out smart Kakashi and thus improve his skills to this day he has not won but still attempts it when he can.
