Now for one more exercise before we get to jutsu. Hold the staff with both hands, and then try focusing your earth chakra into your hands and the staff, and completely shatter it by simply closing your hands together on the staff.

Just a bit more. Focus more chakra, compress the chakra in your hands, and then grip the staff as tightly as you can to shatter it. One more try should do it.

Ok, this is likely the most basic form of earth manipulation; using the very basic principles of elemental manipulation. Most earth seals require you to clap both hands together or the Serpent hand seal when both hands are brought together, clasping each other. Use either of those methods and focus your chakra into the ground. Make it so that your chakra, while in the earth, takes the shape of a small pillar. And then, when you focus enough chakra and put it into the shape of your liking, make it rise up from the ground and the earth should come up with it in the form that you made it in.

Try again, but compress your chakra more tightly. In almost every jutsu, you must compress your chakra in order for it to be... well... "rock solid." Also, add a bit more chakra; the shield seemed a bit too small.

Description: The user, emerging from the ground below the target area, pulls down the opponent so that only their head is above ground. Unable to move, the opponent can easily be decapitated or tortured.

Ok, so for this you're molding the earth below you so that it makes a tunnel in which you can move through. Insert your chakra into the ground and then use it to destroy that portion of earth underneath you, and keep doing this, constantly eroding the earth that is in your way by inserting your own chakra into it. Do this until you emerge from the ground at which point you erode a very small part of the earth, only enough to allow your hand to move through it, and grab my ankle, pulling me down into the ground.

*I notice that a large hole is made where you were, perhaps three or four times your size, and when you pull me down, you do so successfully but I can still move and I can easily jump out.*

Almost. Try again. This time, only erode part of the earth that is JUST big enough for you to move through. Don't try to make the area that you erode through spacious. It should be very enclosed, only digging through enough earth so that you can fit through, and so that way, when you pull me down you only have to decrease the area that you erode through slightly so that I'm pulled down successfully so that I can't move. If you break through too much of the earth, then I'll still be able to move when you pull me under which defeats the purpose of the jutsu.

Description: This jutsu allows the user to take a small chunk of rock and turn it into the shape of a staff. The user can then use it as a weapon or throw it with pinpoint accuracy at their opponent. A variation of this jutsu allows the user to create several staffs and launch them at the target, but with less accuracy.

Pretty easy one. Focus your earth chakra in the ground and try to focus it in the form of a rather thin but sturdy staff. Remember to properly compress the chakra so that the staff is very stable and tough.

You compressed the chakra a bit to much. Remember to keep the chakra under control even when compressing it so that you don't go overboard.

Alright, so this allows you to control two large forms of nearby earth and make them converge onto me. Since we're out in the open, try to make them rise up from my sides. Focus your chakra into the ground on two sides of me like two large pools of chakra, and then use it to pull up the earth on both sides of me. After you do that, use the chakra inside of the slabs of earth to push them both toward me, crushing the life out of me.

*I focus my earth chakra into the ground, and tries to manipulate two big rocks into appearing on the surface, i add more chakra to the jutsu, to create support for the two rocks as they appear, then i slam my hands together, and uses my chakra to manipulate the two rocks to slam together, smashing you.

"So i'll crush my sensei between to giant rocks, O_O okay xd."

O_O That's a nice way to put it.

Remember to keep the chakra running through it evenly throughout the duration of the move. While the slabs are coming toward me, you still have to keep the chakra focused and compressed, or else it will all fall apart.

Anyways i focus more chakra into the ground, and tries to form another pair of rocks, then i add more chakra under the rocks to manipulate them up the ground.
