Why is Edo Tensei so difficult to understand?

I've really heard people say that Itachi won't have his eyes, since they were taken by Sasuke.

I'll give you a run down on Edo Tensei for you guys.

Step One. Get bodies to sacrifice.

Step Two. Learn Edo Tensei.

Step Three. Summon the souls of whoever you wish to inhabit the bodies.

Step Four. Have the bodies put back to their original states. Use a special tag to have them be your bitch.

Step Five. Get ready for battle.

Easy.


In EDO TENSEI you KEEP ALL YOUR ABILITIES you had in life. Itachi will have his Sharingan, Mangekyo Sharingan and all Sharingan related jutsu.

You also are not using your OWN body in Edo Tensei. You are using the whole body of a sacrifice. I figured that is why Orochimaru had unmarred corpses of Kin and Zaku for the first and second summons.

Deidara ****ing BLEW UP and yet we see him whole and healthy. If he blew himself up, by the dumbass logic some members put up on the board, he wouldn't be summonable since he'd be dust in the wind. He wouldn't have ANY arms whatsoever. Yet, he managed to not only be back in a body, but he also is able to use his clay birds. Which is POSSIBLE because Edo Tensei DOES that.

Did you guys think that Kabuto is gonna summon an eyeless Itachi?

LOL I agree with you...they do have all there ability but the way the person who summoned them uses them depends on him. He let Deidara free because he knows nothing about his techs. and he would just throw Deidara to waste luckily Deidara is glad he's back and wont try to betray Kabuto as of yet. He won't be able to do that to Itachi or Pein but i guess these guys just have to wait and see it for them selves then a lot of threads about Itachi and Pein having there ability will they fight the war on the good side etc etc etc.

he cant betrad him because kabuto have almost full control on deidara and the reasen he dont take full control is because if the person he summoned have af little control they can be bettere to fight because they know what they can do

I get edo tensei and it's principles, I'm just not clear on one part.
it's about the souls of the ones summond, how do you get acces to those souls, and are there possible jutsu that lock the soul away so it can not be summond, like the dead demon seal?
I'm not sure if it was coverd in the manga yet, there seems to be some speculation about it since orochimaru supposedly tried to summon minato while he seald himself with the dead demon seal.
so if you have intel on that I would like to know what I overlooked

When i said occular... i was referring to eyes.
It would seriously imbalance the plot cause then, in theory, he could revive the uchiha clan although Madara has collected their eyes. I'm not saying its out of the question but its just my view.

Thanks for this thread some people just don't get it. We saw Edo Tensei before and still...

To go further I think what makes Kabuto's Edo Tensei more powerful is he lets the summons keep their wit. A summons with awareness is better than a fighting machine. The hokages didn't seem to think as much. They seemed less powerful than they should have been.

Deidara's explosions are powerful because of his art, it adds passion. Itachi is a strategical genus. Take away their minds losses all of that. Oro and Tobirama didn't add the human element.

Giving Itachi control over his mind wont harm Kabuto because of the tag in his head. Kabuto isn't an idiot, he planed everything out. I'm sure the tag gives them memories but their control is limited as seen with Deidara.

So by your logic, eyes aren't part of your soul. HMMM. So say if i take my eyes out and die right now and my soul is summoned by some evil voody shit, my soul would come back eyeless? Really? :flaw:

Eyes are physical. Souls don't actually exist.

Though I am aware of your tendencies, having fought with you a few months ago, PLEASE refrain from insults directed towards other members in this thread.

SARCASM is acceptable, as that can be effectively used to help others "remember" something they "forgot".

What I meant about Deidara is, since he blew himself up, he would be summoned back as a pile of dust, or nothing. So the fact that he was summoned back to life, in a body of his own, states that you keep all your body parts.

For Itachi and Nagato, this would include the Sharingan and Rinnegan.

I am sure Itachi can still use all Sharingan techniques, and since Edo Tensei technically is a Tensei Jutsu, Itachi is brought back to life. Though he is under Kabuto's control. So he could probably use Susanoo as well since that also uses the users life-force.

You're damn right, I was getting tired of explaining some of these simple minds how edo tensei works.
But man...Edo tensei will be very powerfull, Deidara can blow himself up and just regenerate.
I'm sure even the drawbacks from using the MS won't apply to Itachi, effectively giving him an EMS (without the EMS specific jutsu ofcourse).
Sasuke's decapitation draws closer indeed...

the souls that are summoned from edo tensei dont have their true physical bodies, its just a sacrifice made to look like them.

Itachi and Nagato wont really have their eyes, but they will have the ability to still use their occular power. example of this is that Tobi cant take the rinnegan from kabutos summon of Nagato, because Nagatos physical body isnt summoned with edo tensei. If Tobi did take the eyes from a edo tensei summon, they would be the eyes of the person who was sacrificed. The powers of the person summoned, come from the soul of the summoned person, not their body.

Basically itachi and nagato will have their KG without actually having their real "physical" eyes

we know that they keep their KG because the first hokage had his
