Itachi's gift to naruto actually for sasuke?

Itachi gave naruto a gift and hoped that he would never have to use it, we all know that, but I was wondering if Itachi gave the gift to naruto KNOWING that sasuke would eventually take his eyes???

After sasuke took itachi's eyes, he mentioned that he could feel itachi's power flowing through him. Do you think that whatever Itachi gave naruto will respond to Itachi's "power" when sasuke uses it?

I'm thinking that Itachi knew sasuke would take his eyes and he implanted something in naruto that would be a last ditch effort for itachi to convince sasuke to stop acting like such and A-hole.

Thats why itachi would hope naruto would never have to use it. Because he hoped sasuke wouldnt take his friggin' eyes and use them against his friend xd

ive always had that idea, when naruto and sasuke fight, and have there rasengan chidori clash they go into there little zone where they talk to eachother itachi would appear, just like minato did with naruto and tell sasuke to put everything that happend to one side and chill the f*ck out .

I was thinking that naruto's "gift" would activate when "the gift" felt Itachi's power (which is from sasuke using Itachi's eyes) being used on naruto.

The way you described Itachi's gift certainly sounds feasible enough.

What makes you think Naruto has anything special in his eyes? He doesn't. He has Sage eyes but i'm pretty sure they don't really do anything. Itachi knows Sasuke very well. It wouldn't react to Sasukes technique or eyes. Itachi knew Sasuke would take his eyes, since Itachi himself told Sasuke what would happen if he did - Eternal M. Sharigan. If he wanted Naruto to never use it, then it must be a secret technique.

The Idea is that Itachi gave naruto something to stop Itachi's (yes his own) power if it is used on Naruto .
Sasuke has no own MS techs .. he just has Itachis .
Itachi anticipated that.

It would be awesome if Itachi's eyes turned out to be blind so Sasuke's eyes stil lwon't work lol.

It's sounds more likely than all the other stuff i've heard about Itachi's gift to Naruto and i've been thinking the same thing for some time now.

This has been said a few times before and I always agree.

I think it's something along the lines of Itachi sealing a bit of himself inside Naruto to help him if Sasuke (or Madara) ever takes control of him using Tsukuyomi or some other eye tech. That's the only thing that Naruto really has no defense for and Itachi could kill whoever did it.

It will probably be at the cusp of the war when they suddenly gain control over Naruto/9T only to find that Itachi had another trump card ready to stop them.
