Should I start reading it? A lot of people told me it's really good but I feel like I might get bored and stop halfway and waste all that time for nothing. I really want to read it though, I was inspired by the soundtrack which is completely epic. Would it be a good investment seeing the way Bleach is going or should I stay away from it. If I go through with it I'm planning on reading 10+ chapters per day and catching up in about 3 weeks.
Well in FT the world has normal people but also people that can use magic from various kinds: fire, ice, water, shadows, wood, carts, exploding, ex-quip, sleep etc.
Most of the mages gather in guilds and in those guilds they can do jobs that can vary from just doing something small as teaching children to subduing a demon. The manga centers around the entire guild of Fairy Tail and thus there are a lot of protagonists. The ones that are the most important are Lucy, who just joined the guild, and Natsu, a Dragon Slayer. He was raised by a dragon Igneel and he tought Natsu a rare kind of magic called Dragon Slayer magic. But at some point Igneel left Natsu without saying anything and since then Natsu has been searching for him.
Natsu searching for Igneel is in theory the main storyline, but for so far it has only been noticed far on the background. It gets mainly mentioned from time to time, mainly between two arcs. Nearly all arcs that have finished revealed the history of one of FT-member(s). For instance characters like Gray Fullbuster, Erza Scarlett, Happy, Wendy and Mystogan all had an arc which had as a subject something related to these characters and revealed parts of their past.
And the woman are hot. If you love OP, you love FT too as they look a lot alike.
I started reading FT because people was saying If i like OP i'd like FT
but that wasn't the case alot of the things in this story feels forced
FT Feels like a watered down version of OP

It's in the eyes of the viewer I guess.
I think you shouldn't compare it to One Piece everytime you see something, and just judge Fairy Tail as its own manga. Btw, what do you mean forced? If you mean the fast pace, then I disagree. The fast pace gets the plot moving a little quicker instead of dragging it out to unneccessary lengths for no purpose, it's better for the reader who enjoys action.

I don't compare every manga i read to One Piece if that was the case I'd barely read manga. Alot of people compared FT to One Piece so i went into it with the expectation that it would blow my mind but it didn't.

This part felt forced & it was taken from One Piece

How did it feel forced?
The set up to this part happened a previous chapter b4 this or the same chapter (i don't remember).
Luxus tried to eliminate the guild because he felt that the guild was waek
then he went on to to try & make us feel sympathy for him. The author was going for a tear jerker moment here & failed miserably.

& this page on if he was Going for some kind of emotional moment He failed, because we still have no real clue to who Cana is. so here is what i thought when i read that chapter & the previous 1
Cana tells Lucy I'm leaving the guild
My reaction I dont care all I've ever seen you do is drink when ever you have a ounce of screen time
So not only do we not know who Cana is She also wants to leave the guild I'm just sitting there like ok she can leave for all i care.
theres more i can possibly find but that will take to long.

Laxus flashback with his gramps was ****ing epic, I have no idea how you got the idea he failed. He constructed it perfectly, from when Laxus's Fairy Law failed, to when he put his hand up as a sign of acceptance to Natsu, then when his gramps told him to get out, and he did so. It all built up to that moment that ended the Fighting Festival arc on a high note.
As for the Cana thing. That'll be revealed on the later chapters, be patient, if you don't like her as a character that doesn't mean you should feel like that for the whole manga.
What you have told me isn't that the plot is forced, but that you simply can't understand what Fairy Tail is about. By that I don't mean what it is actually about but the personal attachment that one gets from following a manga for a long time that helps them get a better view on what's really going on. You seem to lack that with Fairy Tail.
How was it epic when someone goes for a tear jerker you have to feel something for that character. Why would someone go for a tear jerker on someone who betrayed the guild? it looks stupid & extremely forced.
^ The execution was bad plain & simple & he tried to copy One Piece

How is any of what you explained perfectly constructed? all you did was explain the arc in a nutshell. I can easily do that with any manga & call it perfect.

Thats not the point whether it'll be revealed later on or not, the point is why should i care as a reader when Cana has accomplished absolutely NOTHING or did NOTHING through out the whole series. I never said i feel that way for the whole manga
What you have told me isn't that the plot is forced,
I never said the plot feels forced i said alot of things in the story feels forced. i didn't say the PLOT itself. but thats my fault for not elaborating better
but that you simply can't understand what Fairy Tail is about.
I completely know what fairy tail is about, Natsu is trying to find Ignell & as the story progresses we find out that there are other Dragon slayers out there who is also looking for there perspective dragon that vanished on 777. Some of the things that happens just gets on my nerves example Natsu Knocking someone out by screaming ect.
