So zoro has a scar along his right eye and he keeps it closed. Maybe he trained his eye too to the point he has faster reactionspeed or sharper sight or whatever. Afterall he trained with Mihawk HawkEYES. But on the otherhand it would be a ripoff of Kakashis sharingan so i rather hope mihawk sliced it out in some intense training and Zoro couldn't give a damn about it and put a sword to his throat.

Maybe he got that from Bleach, like when Kenpachi uses both arms to hold his sword, isntead of only one. Obviously he gainned a huge power boost. So if Cali uses both eyes, he will gain a huge sight boost.

lol bad example, Kakashi lost his eye. He was slashed by that Rockvillage ninja he lost it and it got replaced with Obito's eye. Of course it doesn't "pop" out but if it's cut open you can't leave it in the socket
.Dude, such a slash wouldn't poke his eye, but it could damage it so it becomes useless. So yes it's very likely to loose an eye by such a slash. In fact the chance that you don't loose an eye in real after such a slash is a lot less.

Also the reason as why it's possible that he lost his eye is because he keeps his eye closed. Tell me if his eye is ok then why is he keeping it closed? There are only two options for that: one he lost his eye and two he has a reason for it for example as I said training and that isn't that far-fetched considering Mihawk is a specialist in "accurate" swordsmanship. Though that doesn't take away the possibility that he could have just lost an eye.
